shawnjeezie
Quest - Slayer's Intelligence Required Skills:65 Slayer50 Smithing100 Combat80 Strength80 Defence Required Quests:Smoking KillsIcthlarin's Little HelperBlack Knights' Fortress Non-Player Characters:SumonaHigh Priest of SophanemVannakaChaeldarSir VyvinKrilkalov (New Slayer Master, location: Fremmenik Isles, either one)King Arthur (if you have completed King's Ransom, this part will go faster) Start:Sumona Part 1: You go to Sumona and ask her if she has any new info or quests to be completed or taken care of. She at first says "no" but then when you try to walk out of her building she says "wait! Could you take these intelligence notes to the High Priest of Sophanem?" You decide you want to help cause there's obviously gonna be a reward right? Part 2: You take the notes to the High Priest and he asks if you would like to help take care of something that's been troubling the city for some time. You accept and he tells you that long ago there was a great war between the two Demon gods Ahrlydd and Reks*tin. They both took the life of the other at the same time at the end of the fight. But only Ahrlydd's general survived with a few spare troops. Ahrlydd's general, being loyal to his master, decided to remain there and guard the god's resting place. But the general's subordinate, Krik-Thithtonith, became bored. So he started terrorizing the city. And to this day the city is still terrorized by this threat. You say that you wanna help and so the High Priest asks you to take those notes to Vannaka. Part 3: You take the notes to Vannaka. Vannaka tells you that you are gonna need to first bring him the materials for the shield you are gonna need to defeat Kril-Thithtonith. He says first go and tell Sir Vyvin that the threat in the city (once again, can't name it off the top of my head) is going to be eliminated and that you are going to be the one to do it. Vannake tells you only Sir Vyvin's family has the knowledge of how to create the final part for the Shield of Purity. He also tells you that you are gonna need a Rune Defender, a Rune Square Shield, An Elemental Shield or Mind Shield, 15 Rune/Pure Essence, A Saradomin-Blessed item, and the last part, a Grigant Bar. Vannaka gives you a letter with his official signature so Sir Vyvin knows why you are there. Part 4: You go to Sir Vyvin in Falador and ask him about the shield part. He asks how you know about it and why you need it. You show him Vannaka's letter of recommendation. He then tells you about how the shield was made back when his ancient ancestor slew the mighty Lord of Dragons in the west 760 years ago. He then tells you what you need for the shield. The shield part can be made with 70 smithing if you have high smithing. Otherwise you will need to ask Doric to do it for you after receiving the Part Blue Prints from Sir Vyvin. Sir vyvin asks you to bring 1 adamant bar, 2 mithril bars and a holy symbol. Part 5: You bring the materials to Sir Vyvin and he gives you the Shield Piece Blue Prints. To make it with 70 smithing you must have the blue prints in your inventory and use the holy symbol on the anvil. If you're not 70 smithing, go to Doric, use blue prints on him, he will charge you 10,000 coins, but you get the Grigant Bar Part 6: You go back to Vannaka. He teaches you how to make the shield. It requires 50 smithing. He also tells you the level requirements of the shield (80 Strength and Defence) use the rune essence on the anvil and it will give you the Shield of Purity. Part 7: Now you go back to the High Priest. He tells you that there is a specific potion required to protect you from the dark ora eminating from the demon. He tells you that only Sumona knows the whereabouts of the potion you need. Part 8: You talk with Sumona. She says you look ready to slay an army of demons and asks if the shield is really necessary and you assure her that it is. Next she reveals that King Arthur has the potion, but that he will probably not give it away lightly. Part 9: You go to King Arthur. If you have done King's Ransom and you ask him about the potion he says "You have aided us in so many ways. It's the least I could do." And he hands you the potion. But if you have not done King's Ransom, he will require you to prove your strong enough first by killing the Black Dragon under his castle without an antidragon-breath shield. This will be difficult so you might want to do King's Ransom first. When you kill the dragon, speak to him again and he gives you the potion. He says you might want the blessing of Chaeldar the fairy before using it. This is optional, but very useful. Why? Because when you do the potion not only protects you from the dark ora, but it also reduces damage dealt by the demon by 10%. Part 10: You return to Sumona who has at last discovered the place where Krik-Thithtonith resides. In a cave on the south end of the swamp at the southern end of the desert plateau. She asks if your all ready. If you say you are then you can no longer get your potion blessed. You say you are and you receive a poorly drawn map of the cavern. She then asks you to speak with Krilkalov who has uncovered a the key to banishing the demon from Runescape once and for all. Part 11: You go to Krilkalov and tell him everything that's happened so far and he tells you that you will need 65 slayer to kill Krik-Thithtonith and that the incantation to banish the demon. The incantation is: Krarko Seatanoneth Suraksa Jimuno After writing this down in your personal notes you ask if there is anything else you need to know before you can put an end to the city's suffering. He says no and tells you to be on your way. Part 12: The Fight!!!!!You go into the cave which is filled with greater demons and black demons and hellhounds. You need to be wearing the Shield of Purity so you take less damage from the demons. You follow the directions you studied on the map given to you by Sumona til you reach the room that contains your target. Beware, if you die you will lose items, but keep your Shield of Purity as it is more valuable than many other items and therefore is nontradable. You enter the lair and Krik-Thithtonith Sends his two Demon Guards (level 200, 1800 LP) at you. After defeating them you are immediately attacked by Krik-Thithtonith (level 550, 3000 LP). The demon guards can only hit you for about 120 max damage while wearing the Shield of Purity and Krik-Thithtonith hits around 200 max if you wearing the shield. the demon guards hit 260 if you don't wear the shield and Krik-Thithtonith hits 600 with his melee attack (a giant flame sword swung at you), 400 with his ranged attack (stabs his sword in the ceiling and rocks fall on you), and 300 with his magic attack (a fireball thrown at you with his free hand) 200 is his max with all three styles while you wear the shield. Part 13: After slaying the mighty Krik-Thithtonith, You take his head, cast the incantation on what's left of the demon, and return to Sumona. She tells you to take it to the High Priest. You take it to the High Priest and he tells you to give the last of the notes to Krilkalov. When you do that its quest complete! But you gonna probably need a whole lot of money for these items. Demon Rapier:Requires 65 slayer and 65 attack to wield+40 stab bonus+60 slash bonus-10 crush bonus-20 magic bonus-15 range bonus+2 slash def bonus+60 strength bonus-1 prayer bonusIncreases slayer exp recieved from demon slayer tasks by .5 so you get 1.5 times the exp. but only for demon tasks.Hilt has a little demon skull on it and the blade has the length of a longsword but is thinner than the blade of a longsword allowing for faster attack speed. which means this sword has the attack speed of a scimitar or abyssal whip.Special Attack: has a chance of hitting a "critical hit" for which you deal 3 times the normal damage. Special attack makes character make a dodge attack motion and then brings sword up the middle of the opponent. Special Attack only works on Demons and takes 75% of the special attack bar. Rhysdayl's BroadswordRequires 90 attack strength and defence to wield+0 stab attack bonus+150 slash attack bonus+115 crush attack bonus-40 magic attack bonus-40 ranged attack bonus+15 stab def bonus+15 slash def bonus+15 crush def bonus-5 magic def bonus+10 range def bonus+150 strength bonus+5 prayer bonus+0 ranged strength bonus+0% magic damage bonusSpecial Attack: Rhysdayl's RampageYou swing twice at 1.25 times the speed of a scimitar or abyssal whip. also has a chance of reducing opponents combat skills by 10% for a short duration of time. special attack does not, however, reduce prayer or summoning. The Special Attack takes the entire Special Attack energy and all your run energy as well as it requires great amounts of energy to swing such a big sword that fast. The sword weighs 15kgNow remember that this is a broadsword and that it has a wider blade than a regular 2H sword. That why i gave it def bonuses. plus look at the skill requirements. requires 90 def. The sword looks has a black hilt enlaced with gold ribbon and the blade is long and wide. The blade color can either be black, red, or enflamed. This i'll let you guys debate over. To wield Rhysdayl's Broadsword and the Demon Rapier you must complete Slayer's Intelligence and have the required skill levels. To enter Rhysdayl's lair you must kill 40 each of black demons and greater demons and do this quest. Please help me grow this idea, make it better, etc. I look forward to your ideas on this and will consider all ideas for add-ons to the quest/drops/etc. Supporter list (from forums on runescape.com):1. sohkmj1
The weapons look very, very overpowered (AGS only does 50% more damage, this one does 3 times the damage, and is as fast as a whip). Other than that, quest looks decent, with 1 or 2 flaws. Won't be supporting though, just though I'd share my views.

civie
If you tune down the weapons or make the special attack only available when fighting certain creatures or something like that, it'll be a lot better. 3x damage would be an OVERKILL of overkill. shawnjeezie
Please note that the weapon that has a CHANCE of doing 3 times the normal damage has less than half the strength bonus of godswords, therefore you will be dealing barely higher damage than with the AGS special. and please note the the speed that is faster than whip is only for the special attack of the broadsword. Read more in-depth before u rant on my idea please.
3PointMan
I dont find 65 slayer a high requierment exactly... 80 defense isnt either. Thats like 3 days of grinding from like 60 >_> http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1

Thats like 3 days of grinding from like 60 >_>Maybe for those who play the game over 10 hours a day. Most people play at most 3 or 4 hours a day tops so for most players it will take a long time to get the required skills. Also 65 slayer is what my friends all recommended. You also need to read the whole thing dude cuz it sounds like you looked at the requirements and didn't read the quest at all.

The weapon is slightly overpowered though. The subtitled "High Requierments" is an overstatement. Aiel
yeah requirements aren't high enough, and fix some grammatical errors, its kind of a pain to read atm. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). shawnjeezie
yeah requirements aren't high enough, and fix some grammatical errors, its kind of a pain to read atm.Firstly please point out all Grammatical errors there are, if any. Because I will change those asap. also Requirements not being high enough. BS. Look at the Broadsword which requires completion of the quest to be able to wield. Also from 1 to 80 in both strength and defence, it will require at least 8 months if not longer. 4 months for each. another note is the required completion of those few quests as well as 1 to 65 slayer requiring an extra month so in total we are looking at possible 10 months if you play all the time which as stated earlier, most people don't play more than 4 hours on any single day. Add in that most players are school students and have other responsibilities, the fact that at 2-4 hours day would take you over a year to get the requirements and factor in possible jobs for those that are in high school and these are in all honesty high requirements, and if you are not satisfied with my explanation go get one from a Jagex Mod. because I asked my friend who is Jagex mod and he said that 80+ in most skills is high requirement. and that 65+ is mid-level requirement. Like I said though, ask a Jagex mod, then tell me my requirements arent high enough. right now the highest requirement I think there is would be 75. This pushes it up to 80 if added to the game plus is almost a 1m exp gain from 75 to 80. at 90+ in melee thats maybe 3 or 4 days of training, but most players doing this quest will not have 90+ in any combat skills unless they have very high range or magic. K4ylan
To be honest, I don't think we need a new slayer master. We've gotten 2 new slayer masters in the past 2 years or so, that's plenty. Plus, Kuradal wouldn't be able to be the Slayaer Cape holder anymore, and that cape has gone from one two many masters. ~~~The Harpy List~~~Harpy Facts~~~It's Super Effective~~~The Beginning~~~Harpy Therapy Center~~~Alg~~~Jedi Harpy~~~Rohirrim~~~Attenuation~~~
Tact
I not sure RS really needs a couple more high-powered melee weapons. The combat triangle is still not balanced as it is.
3PointMan
If you think 1-80 in a MELEE skill takes 4 months you are the most inefficient person I have ever known. In 4 months you could max melee. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1
