  1. Sweet, but degradable gloves? We already have those... Anyway, quite heavy requirements. Let's go kill some weaksauce bosses.
  2. Thanks Ellac, that's the answer I was looking for. I plan on training WC/FM AFK so Roots for example would suffer in xp-rate. And Eucalyptus would leave me about 2k eucalyptus logs left to burn for 99 FM after 99 WC. [/topic]
  3. I've always cut Eucalyptus for both WC and FM exp, but are yews better or worse in terms of ... - WC exp/hour? - FM exp/hour? - gp/hour?
  4. If, and that's a big IF, this works as they say, this will be the best update ever. Beyond anything that's in the game. But most likely the bots will take a few days, maybe a week, but certainly not more than a month to adapt. I'll celebrate January 1st 2012 if the bots haven't return in all that time. Still, if 10%-25% of the bots can be blocked out forever I'd be happy too.
  5. They get stronger after ------- is sacrified actually. Nevertheless, Lucien never achieved godhood or was even close to it, he simply had too much power in his hands, the Zarosian mahjarrats were able to do as much as him if not more during that fight, and none of them refer to themselves as gods, regardless of the level.
  6. Woohoo! Gonna start it at least... Let's see how it's like. spoilers for rewards [hide] 3 qp 110k agility xp 60k constitution xp 40k crafting & mining xp 3x 80k xp lamp access to new Barrow brother (Akrisae) access to Bane ore lunar spell 'Tune Bane Ore' ability to make bane arrows/bolts access to fight Glacors ability to craft Armadyl Runes, Armadyl battlestaff, Storm of Armadyl mini-quest for 3k prayer xp [/hide]
  7. Remember in one of the Morytania quests (or some other quest) there was the Zamorak and Saradomin followers trying to remove the edicts? Those where humans trying to find loopholes. I'am talking about the gods themselves. Perhaps if a god is summoned to this plane through the actions of creatures the Edicts aren't broken.
  8. We've beaten Nomad in a fight, though obviously not killed him. I don't think he'll be in the mood to form a pact with the PC. Those 'things' from DT where killed in the quest, remember? The goblins could be usefull in mass numbers (cannonfodder) but we would have to use Zanik to rally all goblins of the world to fight, which I doubt she would do considering the extremely high casualty rate. Well we "beat" him, however immediatelly after the quest came out rumors started he would actually help. True, but I'm just rambling: all great forces are resembled in the fights from the majharrat - except the slugs. Well from the stories of bilrach where he sided with demons, and the stories during collecting of ghostly robes. (A human was very high in command under zamorak while zamorak was still a mahjarat). As far as the demons go, okay. Could you tell the name of the human though? The only one I can remember that fought 'under' Zamorak was only loosely affiliated with him, and was in it for the fights.

The slugs are parasitic beings, not made to fight on themselves. Oh and it's the Stone of Jas, not Jordan. The Mahjarrat forming alliances with 'lesser' creatures... where did you get that from?
  10. Yeah, riiiight... Everyone will just be trying to kill everyone. The Dragonkin want the Stone of Jas back (if they still have the implanted-by-Jas urge to protect it) or will just wreak havoc (read: death and destruction) across the world. Lucien will try to create a band of 'followers' for when he has completed the last step to godhood. Any other Mahjarrat besides Azzanadra - will all just fight for their own ass. Saradomin can't interfere due to the Edicts. Guthix is asleep and no-one wants to wake him 'cause he'll remake the world when he does. Zamorak is equally bound by the Edicts, though Bilrach tries to free him through the Daemonheim Rift (but we and Bilrach don't know where this Rift/Portal leads to). Armadyl is lost and most likely unable to interfere due to the Edicts as well. Bandos is a tiny spirit after the events of The Chosen Commander. Candidates for actual help: Kuradal - she has sworn revenge, and is incredibly strong. The Signature Power Trio - hopefully not, but you know Jagex. Any of the other 3 (4?) Signature Heroes - see above. Baba Yaga - powerfull witch and Moonclan. Crux Eqal and the Templar Knights - both already fought against Lucien. Azzanadra - favorite and second-in-command under Zaros, immensely powerfull, and the PC has helped him on various occassions (freeing him during Desert Treasure and rebuilding the Temple of Zaros at Senntisten)
  11. Those Vyrewatch don't only look badass, they also look terifying! So far as the minigame/activities update goes, I hope we can select Talon Beast Charms as a reward (in very small amounts of course). That would be awesome (and probably totally broken).
  12. I was thinking of this order: 1. Herblore 2. Agility/RuneCrafting (can't decide yet) 3. Construction (mostly to save money, though I could of course use SCHammer for that...) I got secondaries for Turtles, Tbirds and Swamp Titans myself, so that's why I want to do those instead of the more expensive ones. I think I'll go with Fruit Bats for Greens, since converting them to scrolls might actually make a little profit, or at least break even. I'am more concerned about conserving/making money than exp (but (for example) 1gp profit with 100xp pouches >>> 100gp profit with <100xp pouches)
  13. During BXPW I want to train Herblore, Agility and Summoning at least, with possibly Construction and/or RuneCrafting put in somewhere too. I'd like some advice on the following: Agility - Ape Atoll vs Pieing Gnome Advanced Summoning - Tortoises/T'birds for Gold, Swamp Titans for Greens, but what for crimsons? I want to save the blues up untill I can make Geysers. Construction - Butler Oak Larders/Dungeon Doors or something else? RuneCrafting - ZMI or not at all? I'am doing Herblore from self-gathered herbs, don't care a lot about OVLS.

Okay, Topic can end. Got the Cape

If I could borrow Ranger boots that would be a great help. I'll probably buy the rest and sell them after I get the cape.

My current setup is like this: Equipment: Head - Blessed Coif Chest - Armadyl Chestplate Legs - Proselyte Legs (I hate the idea of degrading armour) Shield - DFS (Fully Charged) Cape - Ava's Alerter Hands - Black D'hide Spiky Vambraces Feet - Snakeskin boots (anything better out there?) Neck - Amulet of Fury (should I swap this out for Amulet of Ranging?) Ring - Archer's Ring Aura - Reverence Inventory: EE 6x Saradomin Brew 19x Super Restore Potion 200-250x Diamond Bolts (e) 10x Emerald Bolts (e) Each time I reached Jad I had at minimum 5 full brews and 12 full srests left. A) Swap out Emerald Bolts for Brew B) How about swapping Rune XBow w/ Addy bolts out for Karil's? This would let me use Soul Wars Cape (Alerter gives +4 ranged attack, SW gives +8 all defence and +12 prayer)

My problem ain't the switching, that went better than I thought. My problem lies with my DPS. I currently use Rune XBow + Emerald Bolts (e) (until Jad's poisoned) and Diamond Bolts (e) (regular addy bolts for wave 1 through 62) I range everything, using Deflect magic as soon as the first 360 pops up.
  18. So I've been trying to nail Jad, but my ranging seems not to succeed. Are there any tricks that are confirmed to be active still that can be used to, for example, not let the Healers come? If there are no tricks what-so-ever, what would be a good setup for me? Budget is 50m, of which ~26 is already spend on ArmaChest, Fury and ArcherRing (can of course sell them if needed). Got DClaws, no GSs, EE, no chaotics (nor willing to get them).
  19. Article 1: If you look at the punishments you clearly see that the punishment is less harsher as time goes on: Perma-ban -> (partial) stat wipe -> three strikes, you're out Oh wait, you can buy your account back. Yeah, that works <_< Edit: I agree partially with lazerus. Perhaps Jagex should make semi-bots. In return for semi-bots for afk-able tasks they could program the dangerous randoms (forced x-round fight with the Evil Chicken, Rock Golem etc. without drops) in the semi-bots as a trade-off. Article 2/3: I agree with both writers actually. On one side I believe RS will be able to continue another ten years, but on the other hand RS needs a big overhaul, something huge that will reïgnite the fires. There have been rumours about the "Eastern Lands" for years now, and there has been an Oriental/Eastern styled NPC on the docks of Port Phasmatys for years. More recently, the Ornate Katana and the Oriental clothing have entered the game. Perhaps the Eastern Lands are drawing closer? But I digress. All the capes you can collect are short-term solutions. Jagex needs to come with something big. And a whole new continent might just be it.
  20. I've heard from several sources that you can complete the Fight Caves (specifically Jad itself) by using Deflect Curses to bounch back all damage whilst taking none. Point 1: Does this still work? Point 2: If yes, can someone give me a gear & inventory setup? See Siggy for levels (ovbiously)

  22. I hope it will be at least twice as long as the previous quest, Deadliest Catch, or this will be an in-and-out quest <_< I hope it has a good reward...
  23. Well finally here... Let's start buying! Reverence aura seems nice, but it'll depend on how much the prayer drain is slowed... Jack of Trades is just one more way to get bonus exp. Surefooted is nice for BXPW training agility. Not falling of for 20 minutes on the highest possible course will be attractive for a lot of people wanting 75 at Ape Atoll.
  24. Aww, I actually hoped it would be the Aura's... Well, guess I'll have to wait another week. Does sound interesting. This way stuff like the Fight Pits can actually become do-able.
