  1. Eggstreme Management: I agree with the author. In my view, there are only a few options: 1: manually adjust the prices of these rares so the ultra-rich collectors just lose money in a blink of an eye (hey, only those who caused it would be actually punished by this right?) 2: ban the known players (hmm, maybe a bit over-the-top) 3: remove the items from the game I've been hating the ridiculous prices from the GE, and consequently, I've started to buy and sell at mid or lower prices only. Due to my pretty good stats, I can make almost all items I need myself. If every TIPIT'er would use the mid-price as the maximum, and we join forces with other communities we, the average players, can force the prices to stagnate and ultimately lower them. The idea of the GE is pretty good actually, I love it even. The biggest problem are the merchanting clans, or better said GREED. To bad we can't erase this negative human factor...
  2. @Trol_slayer9: Indeed. Koran says you must become a muslim or die, more or less. Aside from that, according to some historical evidence the Koran was a tool created by muhammed to become influental in politics of his city and surrounding area. In short: koran is not holy. As is the bible, it's not even complete.
  3. Dungeoneering Solo: Start a team/party Enter the dungeon via the entrances on either side of the castle's main entrance (lower your view to see them easier.
  4. something to do with pies ... and cabbages
  5. eeewww, squirrel ears? ... wait doesn't that remind you of something *cough*bunnyears*cough*
  6. The Dragon Plate is mostly for people who cannot afford Bandos, require it for Melee/Ranger Hybrid or for fashionistic statement. I myself use either Proselyte or Dragon when fighting anything, with Proselyte when praying and dragon when requiring high melee defense.
  7. If you tune down the weapons or make the special attack only available when fighting certain creatures or something like that, it'll be a lot better. 3x damage would be an OVERKILL of overkill.
  8. Eh, I got full in 30 rounds doing all events, going back and forth. Netted me about 10 boots, 3 legs, 5 hats and 1 shirt (i believe) and around 750k. Took me about 10 hours tops. So it isn't as hard as some people say it is. You just have to be persistent.
  9. guess we'll find out the reward somewhere near the end of the year (end of october or later) It'll be either AWESOME or suck like hell.
  10. civie replied to michel555555's topic in Rants
I bet the reward is either enormously fantastic or epicly failing.
  11. Hmmm, very long. Somewhere in 2001. Before Santa Hats, that's for sure.
  12. Okay, breakdown time! Strykewyrm update: Strykewyrm: drops are sick. Most drops are stackable (runes, noted herbs/fruits/bars) or consumalbe during task. Special drops are also nice, giving Mages and Rangers a much-needed Slayer boost. The Staff of Light is of course a near-broken staff. 15% damage bonus: one of the highest bonuses. 1/8 chance to save runes: cheaper magic! Damage-reducement: powerfull for Tanks. Slayer-staff: Now the Slayer Dart gets a power-boost!. Dragon-level stats: good for finishing off a monster to save even more runes. Music update: Finally, I can listen to my favourite RS Music Tracks during runs where music often changes =)
  13. I would support such an idea. It could be done like the Slayer ring: 50 points for a single time, or 500 points for all tasks except the ones you get the bones from (10-folds) That would put a new incentive in training Slayer. And you could still keep getting points from each task.
  14. There's a large amount of references to Lord of the Rings to. Bandos avatar = Sauron Yu'biusk (destroyed) = Mordor Both have a powerfull item that controls the wielder, but cripples the creator to nothingness if destroyed. Also, Glariel is a shortened version of Galadriel. And the boss from Gnome Village quest, when it dies: a scream fading away in the distance. If you read the chapter 'The Pelenor Fields' of the book, you will recognise it from the death of the Witch-King. The lost dwarven city below Ice Mountain = Moria And there are more, but can't find 'em again this quick.
  15. 1: Nothing happens. Your 'soul' cannot be comprehended while living (if it exists) 2: A choice: going back without any knowledge of your past life with an up- or downgrade of your mental, physical and psychic capabilities relative to how you lived (good life = upgrade, you get a reward; bad life = downgrade, you have to prove yourself) or join some form of a collective where you experience anything you want (well, except killing others of course) and anything is possible.
  16. Is that really a Zarosian Symbol? I thought Zarosian was a cirkel with a cross in it. Edit: never mind, found it already. It's indeed a Zarosian Symbol (perhaps Seren is linked to Zaros somehow we cannot yet comprehend?)
  17. Okaaay... if he really confused those two things (bubble-gum and something lethal), then Darwinism is was at work here. (The stupid/weak/etc die, the strong/smart/etc survive) Edit: @Mage_Man: agreed, the Mythbusters can create an explosion from almost nothing !
  18. If the above one is you first one ever: pretty good for a first one. The second is nice! I'd like to see that one rendered digitally like someone did with Runes for the RS Postbag.
  19. Which items are obtained as 'junk'? I want to know this before I toggle the yes, i want junk to no, i don't want junk
  20. You get hit by a car, run over three times, get blown up into pieces and finally burn in the wreckages of civilization.
  21. The damage is 30-35. You will not lose the runes, coal or magic logs. You WILL lose any other items you have looted from Movario's base (this includes the two parts of the Mithril Door Key) If you have done Lunar Diplomacy and can cast Ourania Teleport this is a good way to get it out: Teleport to Ourania Walk to the base Get to the room with the items Go through the door When you regain consciousness, teleport to Lunar Isle Bank and Repeat
  22. [hide] Q1:What is something you write down to remember? A: important information Q2:What is something you hear on the radio besides music? 23. I want to train my Summoning from 60 to 70, while losing as few cash as possible. What should I create? Thanks in advance.
  24. Go 2000 years into the future, gather tech, get back and rule the (bleeping) world.
  25. Dunno if this has been said (WALLS of TEXT): It's not 2012, but 2209. A scientist has calculated it anew. Some problem with the calendars. But I'll be happy if all those 2012-believers commit suicide, it will be so much less crowded on the world =)
