  1. Nice find! Perhaps an old stronghold of Zaros, though most likely coincidence. Kolodion, the one who runs the place, is a shapeshifter. Maybe he is some sort of non-human follower of Zaros? Just speculating, nothing serious. It's probably coincidence...

    Spirit warriors from Summer's End are great if you take enough alching runes with you. They drop mostly stackables, and if it isn't, it most likely isn't worth the hassle to pick it up.

    Maybe waist-items as a reward? New slot for belts, which can hold up to 5 different runes (up to let's say 500 each storage, duplicated stacks allowed) which would be handy for Slayer, Treasure Trails and Quests (law runes without space loss? yes please!) 'Bronze' through 'Barrows' like the gloves from RFD, and giving the same stat bonuses, except the strenght/prayer bonus is swapped (instead of +12 strenght, +12 prayer for barrows or something like that) What about that?

    I have the feeling that the more you kill the higher the drop rate for rarer items is. In my first Fire Giant task: no rune. 2nd ~ 4th task: 1 rune afterwards, various rune (mostly rune arrows though)
  5. Tip: Are you afraid of spiders? If yes, don't play on HD for a specific part. [hide=]spoiler: you need to kill a huge spider, and frankly, it's scary on HD. low detail is good enough to be freaked out (yes i am scared of spiders <_<)[/hide]

  8. If only the cash, I wouldn't cry or anything as it's only just over 1m, but items... ouch. 2 whips, 1 Dchain, Dlegs, 2 Dsquares, 2 Dmeds and most other equipment i have at 2, makes a net value of over 20m. I would cry then... With runes, ores, bars etc etc lost: quit, probably forever.

    Thanks for the help. I am planning on trading the eeveelutions from another game, or if not able to, hack 'em (I know, I fail) And Tyranitar, Charizard and Gengar/Alakazam is my favourite team (if it were real these four would be my only pokemon I would ever use)
  10. The area the Dragonkin are in, has exactly the right structure for it to be in Castle Drakan (as it is called now...) The colours are all the same as those used on Castle Drakan, including the reddish glows. Also, wasn't it around the time of the defeat of the Dragonkin that men settled at Meyerditch for the first time? It would make sense because 1) the Dragonkin would be driven backwards into their last fortress (the Wilderness one being destroyed during the God Wars, because the Wildy was formed then, and the Ancient Caverns being a smithy) and left a single kin to watch the surroundings while the last survivors went into hiding deep underneath the castle. As Bob the Warrior (don't remember his real name) attacked the fortress, the 'kin on watch managed to hold him off and cast a spell on him turning him into a cat, securing the possibility of the discovery of their last stronghold.

    CAtk1 means Charizard Attack 1, placeholder. Needs to be filled. Can't think of a good attack to place. Vaporeon & Iceon are Water & Ice, I don't know which one I should place in my party. Only 6 are allowed =( Of course Vaporeon will be trained for Fire-gyms and the like. And what are the easiest HM-slaves?

  14. You should be able to travel through the dungeon and defeat her. Be sure to get several gloves in one go so it doesn't matter if you lose a pair. I got 2 or 3 pair in bank, just waiting to be used again.
  15. So, the south fortress is either yet to be revealed or it has been revealed, but we are blinded due it's obviousness. Let's list all the pro's and con's for possible locations Brimhaven Dungeon + Metal Dragons + Tomb/Temple-like entrance Pollnivneach Smoke Dungeon (especially the 'newer' part) Near Menaphos/Sophanem, Ullek If you have another point which has been agreed on, add it to the list. That way we get an overview of possible locations.

On the internet, any gold-selling adverts, flashing adverts (like 'Congratulations you're visitor 999.999, you win a car!') and expanding adverts (always slows my framerate when i'am doing something important which can't use low framerate...)
  17. I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. To be sure for yourself you should add all the costs for the runes together, and then compare with the price for a battlestaff at Zaff's Staffs. If it costs less, go ahead. The guide is called 'The Ultimate MTA Handbook' or something along those lines.
  18. What I actually meant was, that the Dragonkin trapped the Mahjarrat, placing the gems near their stronghold. But we are getting a bit off-topic. Let's list the (most likely) possibilities for each stronghold shall we? North, East and West are practically covered. North - Ruined Castle, possibly partial sunken into the Northern Ocean. East - Sanguinesti Region, possibly or partially underground West - Ancient Cavern Now South: some say Karamja, others say something with the Desert. Now, under Pollnicneach lies a dungeon which has ruined pillars and the like scattered everywhere. Perhaps that is the Southern Stronghold? It lies quite straight under the speculated Northern Stronghold. Which makes the Digsite a candidate for the center. Only problem: the temple of Zaros? What do we know about Zaros? Maybe he was a Dragonkin which used the Stone of Jas to rise to Godhood? And subsequently transferred Mahjarrat to this plane, bringing the Dragon Weapons with them so more creatures could get them which would result in more fighting. Which in turn would be followed with more power channelled to the Dragonkin. Anyone interested in picking this up?

  21. Well, Ancient Magicks is quite powerfull. And the staff of Ancient Magicks has Zaros' sign. Mahjarrat are connected to Zaros. Perhaps the being held in the pyramid was a Mahjarrat? I believe the being said something about it when you are finishing the quest. Also, the four gems are in quite interesting locations: Blood is in Mort Myre, actually quite close to Meiyerditch. Smoke is in the Smoke Dungeon which is near the Desert Treasure Pyramid itself, so maybe a stronghold is near. Shadow is near the Ancient Cavern. Ice is near the Wilderness. A link perhaps?
  22. NO NO NO!!! The sword is already the most powerfull weapon which doesn't degrade. And it's comparable to the degradable PvP weapons. Making it more powerfull is game-breaking, if it isn't game-breaking already.

Necromancy According to Wikipedia, Necromancy is a form of divination in which the practitioner seeks to summon "operative spirits" or "spirits of divination", for multiple reasons, from spiritual protection to wisdom. A sub-skill of Summoning, this will have its own level-up methods, new monsters with new abilities, new clothing, and staffs. Availability of Necromancy Necromancy is a dangerous skill, and as such it is only allowed to those that have proven themselves capable to control basic summoning skills, a.k.a. you need a Summoning level of at least 50. Also, the only person you can teach you the art of Necromancy are the Necromancer south of Ardougne and Malignus Mortifier, which both will not do so unless you earned the right to. The New Quest Length: Medium Difficulty: Medium Requirements Skills: 50 Summoning, 75 HitPoints Requirements Quests: Swan Song, Summers End, Ghosts Ahoy Requirements Items: Pot, Pot lid, 2 Vials, 2 normal Bones, Raw rat meat, 20 Spirit Shards Recommended Items: Explorers Ring, EctoPhial, Ardougne Teleport, Jennicas Ring (to escape from the Wilderness in case of an emergency) Teaser of the Quest: Malignus Mortifier is running out of ingredients for his practice of necromance, and needs your help. If you can complete his trials, you even might find him so kind to reward you with some of his knowledge! Outline: Part 1: Start Get to Malignus Mortifier (quickest way is either Rimmington House or Explorers Ring Cabbage-port) and talk to him about teaching you the art of Necromancy. He will tell you that he will not do this, unless you help him with a few tasks. He will ask you to get some bonemeal of normal bones. He will also tell you will have to close the pot with a lid during transport, or the meal will be contaminated. Part 2: Bone Meal for Malignus Bank: get out means of travel to Port Phasmatys, the normal bones, a pot, a pot lid and means to travel back to Malignus (no magic teleport, but Cabbage-port is allowed) Use the EctoPhial, or travel to Port Phasmatys in a way and get to the upper floor. USE the Bones on the grinder and get the bonemeal into the pot. Close it with the lid, and travel back to Malignus. Part 3: Ethereal Liquids Bank: 2 vials, good armour, good weapon, some food for people with high health but low combat stats. He will thank you for bringing the bonemeal, but he has another task for you. He now wants you to get a vial of Red Ethereal Liquid and Blank Ethereal Liquid. Go to the skeleton dungeon from Defender of Varrock and kill a skeleton. Take its Red Mist, now named Red Ethereal Liquid. Bank if needed. Now go to the Graveyard of Shadows (I believe) and slay one of the level 79 Ghosts that wander around the tombs until you get Blank Mist, use your remaining vial on it to get Blank Ethereal Liquid. Return to Malignus. Part 4: An introduction to Summoning Bank: raw rat meat, normal bones, 20 spirit shards Malignus will thank you for bringing you all the items he asked. He will now ask you to get the ingredients for your first attempt at summoning a simple zombie: a zombie rat. When you have the three items, talk again and a cutscene will occur. [cutscene] Malignus explains the basics of Necromancy, which is that you can have the ingredients for a creature in your inventory and only need to cast a simple vocal spell (gives no magic exp, magic level 0 required). The items will fuse and the monster will be summoned in front of you. You try it out, but you fail and summon fungi instead. Malignus says that it doesnt matter, because he had it so often. [/cutscene] Congratulations! Quest Complete! Reward: 1 Quest Point The ability to practice Necromancy 5000 Summoning Experience or 2500 Necromancy Experience (talk to Malignus to choose) Access to Necromancers and Summoners Robes. Training As said in the quest, Necromancy will be trained by using bones (physical beings, like skeletons and zombies) or ethereal essence (ethereal beings, such as ghosts) with secondary ingredients. These bones/essence will be common to extremely rare, depending on the type of bone/essence and the monster you kill, just like charms and normal drops. An example chart for the training of Necromancy (Necromancy is capped at level 50, due to it starting at Summoning level 50) Spirit Shard formula is (level required)x10. For example, the Zombie Rat is level 2 and therefore needs 20 Shards. Exceptions are the Fungi and the Dead Tree. The tree requires no shards. Attack Style depends on the monster that is summoned. 50 Apocalypse Rider of War 2x Blank Ethereal Liquid, Red Ethereal Liquid, 5 Bones, Battleaxe and Sword (any kind) 500 100, boosts your Melee stats by 15%, does not stack. 50 Apocalypse Rider of Famine 2x Blank Ethereal Liquid, Ethereal Liquid, 5 Bones, 1 Mort Myre Twig, Mort Myre Fungi 500 100, can change your opponents food to rotten food. 50 Apocalypse Rider of Pestilence 2x Blank Ethereal Liquid, Green Ethereal Liquid, 5 Bones, 2 Rotten Food 500 100, can inflict desease upon your enemy 50 Apocalypse Rider of Death 2x Blank Ethereal Liquid, Black Ethereal Liquid, 5 Bones, Dead Meat (see note 3), Broken Bond (see note 4) 1000 100, can deal up to four times your current hitpoints. This has a higher chance to happen when you have less than 25% HP left. Note 1: When casted in the Spirit Realm, you have a slim chance of creating a tree in the living world. Up to and including Magic Trees. Note 2: Can only be cast on other players, which will take damage over time. Formula for the amount of damage is (necromancy level)+(magic level)/10. This lowers by 1 every time it does damage. Note 3: Dead Meat can be obtained from the Corporeal Beast as a medium/rare drop. Note 4: Broken Bond can be obtained from the Corporeal Beast as a medium/rare drop. Note on coloured Ethereal Liquids: these are very rare drops from the Corporeal Beast, very, very rare drops from the Tormented Wraith. The Black Ethereal Liquid is the most rare of the four, being extremely rare from the Tormented Wraith and very, very rare from the Corporeal Beast. This is to make the arrival of the Apocalypse Riders rare, and less overpowered in my opinion. The experience chart for Necromancy uses double the normal exp required. So, for level 2, you need 166 experience instead of 83 experience.
  25. The demon was large. Its torso was as big as a house, and on it was a head that was bigger than a adult human. Atop its head were two large horns bended towards the back, and three rows of horns which ran from his eyes to the back of his neck, getting a bit smaller as the got lower. The eyes were black, with pupils of crimson red. Its mouth was filled with teeth that could very well tear through flesh and bone. The arms were long, and ended in four-fingered claws. The legs were almost as long as a normal-sized giant, and thick as the trunk of a tree. They ended in hoof like feet. But the most impressing fact was the pair of wings that spread across the chasm. The harder parts were black, and the flesh was crimson, slowly fading to orange towards the edges. On top of all that, the main body was wreathed in fires, creating an intense heat and lighting up the entire cave. When the demon saw the trio, he let out a loud growl. Immediately thereafter the demon created a sword made out of fire and charged towards them. Ellani immediately created a protective shield, which held long enough for them to gather their wits. Well, what should we do? Ellani thought towards the other two. Maybe a creature from another plane can destroy it? Or at least douse the flames? Lerani suggested. Ill see what I can conjure Berinar said, already grasping his bag. He then noticed it was gone. At that moment the gem on top of his staff glowed; wait, perhaps the staff is the answer. Lets see. As he tried to summon a wolf, a gargantuan beast appeared before them, barely fitting on the cliffside. It was hit by the demon, and it immediately disappeared again. That was interesting. Maybe you should focus on a water-based creature. Ever heard of one? Ellani thought. Well, I already was busy with training for summoning an Ibis, but I also hear of the Titans. Perhaps a Geyser Titan could help? Berinar replied. Please just try. I cant hold out much longer Ellani thought as if he was screaming. Okay, here goes After a fraction of a second, the staff glowed, and suddenly a large fountain of water came gushing from down the chasm, directly hitting the demon. It steamed away, but formed again around the children. Youre safe for now Children of Guthix. His fire shall not penetrate my water said a telepathic voice. Umm, we need that thing taken down Lerani thought bluntly. Mmm, okay. Girl, you must follow as soon as the fires are gone. You have limited time to reach his neck and stab him. He shall try to reawaken his fires as soon as they are put out, for they are his lifeforce the voice sounded. Okay, Ill be as fast as I can Lerani replied. As soon as she stopped thinking, the steam formed a large bubble of water, and reshaped itself until it was al around the demons body. It then imploded, and immediately the fires were extinguished. Lerani quickly jumped up the arm the demon had stretched, and ran for her life towards the neck. Mere seconds after she arrived, she felt the heat already returning. Dont be afraid, I will keep this place wet so you can slice through his skin and cut off his head. Be prepared to be very wet as I will form into a vortex to carry you to the cliff the voice said again. Okay, Ill be ready for it. She stood up, balancing carefully, but it was easier than it seemed. As she took out the new sword, she saw the entire blade was made of silver, with a green snake on both sides. Taking it upside down, she rammed it on the necks hide. It didnt seemed to do anything, but then she noticed the gem started to glow faintly, and the sword took over the glance. She tried again, and this time she penetrated all the way through the neck. The demon let out a terrible roar, and began to sank into the chasm. Hold on the voice said. Suddenly Lerani felt she was sucked into a vortex, being perfectly balanced between updrift and fall. Then the vortex moved to the cliffside, and she was dropped down. Glad to help. Need further assistance the voice said as the vortex reformed into a Geyser Titan. No, I dont so Berinar though. No, they wont. You can leave. Thank you for your help the voice of Sephir said. Very well, good-bye said the voice, and the Titan began to fade. Good job defeating that demon. Be prepared. If this one broke loose, others might to Sephir said to the trio, who were looking at Sephir with rather mad faces. Why did whe had to fight that demon? What if we couldnt use our newfound powers Ellani screamed aloud against Sephir, to mad to use telepathy. Because I knew you could. All will become clear in due time he answered. Iam not satisfied with that answer Ellani said Neither are we Lerani said, speaking for herself and Berinar. Ever wondered why this demon should break loose to attack three children? He could rather have attacked entire Gielinor by breaking out through the meadows and farmland. We just want a simple answer Berinar said calmly. Iam afraid that is not possible. Iam sorry, but even I do not fully understand everything Sephir said, ending the conversation.
