  1. The Human race will simply cease to exist, as we will evolve to much to be considered 'Human' as we are now. Homo Sapiens becomes Mecha Sapiens or something like that. "We are the BORG, you will be assimilated. Resistance is futile" :ohnoes: Though I prefer individual lifeforms \ Besides, if we can travel at the speed of light, we will have developed effectively working stasis systems so we won't grow older or at least age a lot less (lets say 1 biologically year in ~1000 year?)
  2. Happy Birthday Andrew! And good health! Off-topic: 30 years and owner of a multi-million company... damn... a new Bill Gates story?
  3. Anyone noticed the dragonkin-silhouette in the 'Rise of Lucien' picture? or is that just me? or did I miss something??
  4. Additional Dragon Armour (Kite only now I guess) and Weapons (Warhammer, Crossbow etc) are suggested often enough now. What about a cape? I am bad in making pictures and such, so I won't be doing that, sorry. On looks: Two winged-shaped parts, joined togeteher around the neck. On stats: Imagine an obsidian cape, with enhanced stats. The cape however, isn't complete when obtained. You have to add two pieces of Dragonhide to it to give it a) a stat boost, and B) a colour. You can also use a set of Dragon Bones on them for a Prayer boost. Basic, unfinished stats: equal to the obsidian. Green D'hide would give a +2 on all defense, and +1 prayer if bones are used to. Blue D'hide gives +4 on all defense, and +2 prayer if bones are used. Red gives +6/+3, Black gives +8/+4. Level 70 crafting is required for Green, 80 for Blue, 90 for Red and 99 for Black. Brutal version requires 20 additional levels. Note: the Brutal Green Dragon would drop Brutal Green D'hide, thus granting a far improved version if the special is used. The standard bonuses remain the same. Aside from this, if the KBD is slain, you can 'use' the cape on a pool of blood (only the one who have a Dragon Wing-cape and deal the most damage/final blow see this) to get it enhanced for a +10/+5 bonus after Black D'hide and D'Bones have been used. Level 99 prayer is required for this. If a full set of Dragon is worn (Full Helm, Platebody, Platelegs, Cape, Gloves, Boots) in combination with a Dragon Fire Shield a special ability is attained. You can choose among three different abilities: 1) You transform into a dragon with the colour of your cape for 3 rounds, able to blast everything into oblivion (100% drain of your bar, and stats are reduced by 50% afterwards) 2) You can summon a Spirit Dragon for 3 turns which will fight as normal. (100% drain, 99 summoning required) 3) Your stats are increased by 100% for 1 minute (100% drain, return-to-normal rate is double for this) After using the special, you cannot use it until 24 hours have passed. Looks: 1) The wings will grow and wrap around you rapidly, then you expand into the dragon. Afterwards the dragon will vanish slowly and you will show up again. 2) A standard summoning, but with a larger circle around the dragon. 3) A red circle around you, and a red beam towards the sky (like a Dragon B-Axe special, with a reversed Retribution prayer graphic or something like that) Drawbacks: - The capes will only be able to be traded in uncrafted forms, only yourself can enhance it. - Dragons will be barely affected by the Dragonfire from the Spirit Dragon and the Transformation, and they whill barely hit less higher during the active aura.

    The Chosen

A Poem inspired by 'While Guthix Sleeps' and imagination about the dragons and dragonkin. Added a bit of "possible future storyline developoment"-sauce on top of it to finish it. Enjoy reading ;) Flight of Many Colours High in the Sky Fiery Breath that burns the ground Dragons thou are Thy claws, breath and hide They guard thee well Thou fight fierce and fell, yet many fall to the hatred of man Thou treasures they crave Hard to find as they are They make us more powerfull as thee are Even as frail we normally are Thou masters created thee While hiding in secret after they flee They scheme and plan all that time And thou guarded them unbeknowst Now thy masters are revealed And their plans begin to unfold They are hindred by mortals of all races Who guard this world Their plans crumbling to dust The world trembling of fear Guthix still sleeps and dreams, yet might awake If the Gods return War will go across Gielinor Ravaging home and hearth Everyone will pay the price, if the Chosen does not rise ... Well, what ya' think of it?
  6. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! GRANDMASTER QUEST FTW! ( I hope it will answer some questions :P) Aw bugger... can't check any news from this place where I am now... guess I have to wait 3 more hours =(
  7. Yes, it is indeed a stronghold (or was rather) of Zaros. However, the Mahjarrat where followers of Zaros, might have been impressed by the Wyrm's and changed form after his defeat to creatures alike the Wyrm's, and Zamorak was the Mahjarrat who originally stabbed Zaros with the Staff of Armadyl, effectively banishing Zaros from the realm and becoming a God himself. This might have lead to the abandonment of strongholds formerly held by Zaros, and these might have been taken by Mahjarrat.
  8. We should look at the moments of first sightings. I think that the 4th age is the most logically, as it is the most recent addition about first sightings of the dragonkin, thus, the most acceptable imo. Also, in Tail of Two Cats, it is seen that the dragonkin use magic, and we know the Mahjarrat can use magic. The dragonfire is probably the source of the name 'dragonkin', as dragon's were sighted before the 'dragonkin', weren't they? And then, the creation of dragon's. Could this been done with the Stone of Jas? We know it has magical properties, capable enough of creating the first runestones. If it indeed was in the hands of the dragonkin, they could have created the Dragon Forge with it. And the Mahjarrat went in hiding but would have needed protection so they wouldn't be discovered. Here comes the dungeon of Tolna. If someone happens to stumble upon your hiding place, a trap like this dungeon is nearly flawless, the only point of weakness is outter influence (we, the player) as seen in the quest. A person's emotes can be read and be played on by powerfull magical beings or beings with strong magical powers. The dragonkin and Mahjarrat both have powerfull magic to their disposal. Lucien has Mind Control and Zemouregal has Necromancy. It is very well possible that another Mahjarrat has the ability to read emotions and minds and can create dungeons to trap living beings in these places. The only way to escape is to defeat your emotions, but this is extremely hard for any person, especially if they are continually confronted with them.
  9. As to the point of the Brutal Green Dragons, I concur, and there might indeed be less evolved Wyrm's. I think that they will be hiding further beneath the ground, near the planets core (if Gielinor is round of course) because of the need of heat. however, that there might be true Wyrm's, no. Maybe Brutal Blue/Red/Black Dragons, and possibly Addamant and Rune Dragons might be released in the future, but Wyrm's are extinct. I do not think that the Gods are in any way allowed to revive an extinct species due to the Decrees of Guthix (although half the world of Gielinor is trying to find mazes in the decree's which seems to be successfull in some parts) And for my previous point that the Mahjarrat and 'dragonkin' are moving north, they might have another interpretation of directions. I never really read the tales about them, but both groups are amassing at a central place. We should really look into the Mahjarrat = dragonkin thing I think...
  10. @ misterknowitall the Wyrm power in BFME 2 is a lesser wyrm I think. the Wyrms I was talking about are talked about in The Hobbit. In LotR itself they are commonly referred to as dragons, however dragons are a more smaller, fatter so to say, form of the winged lizards. Also, the Western view of dragons is mostly the 'fat' form. The long 'eely' ones are mostly more Far-eastern (China/Japan). Another note on the difference from dragons and wyrm's: most (fantasy) sources I know about describe dragons as later, weaker descendants from the Wyrm's. JaGEx is probably just following this trend I guess.
  11. I was thinking last evening after reading this stuff (which is very good!!). If the Mahjarrat have the ability to shapeshift: Couldn't it be that the Mahjarrat and the 'dragonkin' (for which we have no true name, yet...) are one and the same? Evidence: - they both come from the North (Frenaskrae) 0 the Mahjarrat we encountered are all moving north (Frenaskrae?), as if something big is going to happen and we know the 'dragonkin' might show themselves in the upcoming quest - both are linked to the Dragon Weapons and Armour in one way or another - they know about the Stone of Jas, and the Staff of Armadyl, which are artefacts of divine power On the wyrms: in the lore of Tolkien (LotR), Wyrms were very long, winged dragons. the Wyrm familiar might be a lesser wyrm, having no wings. I have seen parts of the lord of LotR already in RS (Tomb of Glariel, Glariel sounds a lot like Galadriel, is an example) so it could be that JaGEx took some more info (it's logically, as Tolkien is one of the greatest British fantasy-writer's)
  12. There is a safespot to chop the logs. 1) Enter the cave. 2) Run to the first root on the southern wall. 3) When the beast starts attacking, head back to the entrance/exit, but do not exit. 4) When the beast doesn't attack you anymore, run through him along the south wall, into a small dent. 5) If done correctly, you only need a bit of food for filling up the firepits and lightning them (though you should run from pit to pit filling 3 of them)
