99 cooking

Featured Replies

I'm level 80 cooking right now and I figured why not go for 99 while I farm so can anyone tell me what to cook through 80-99. Something other then wines please I'm not looking to spend tons on cooking.

If I remember right it was something like lobsters till some level -> monkfish to some other level -> sharks or rocktails till 99? The only problem is I don't know the levels or if those are right lol.

Wines are actually very cheap, only about 16m to 99.

Ok I know that but I don't want to spend 16m on 99 cooking.

What I did was cooked Lobsters until...oh what was it...81? The level you stop burning Swordfish with Cooking Guantlets, then cooked Swordfish until level 90, and then Monkfish until 94, and Sharks the rest of the way. If you don't have Cooking Guantlets (from Family Crest quest), get them.

Alright sounds good but can sharks be replaced with rocktails? I've heard they're faster and make more money which is always a nice addition.

I did monks at the level where you stop burning them with gauntlets(I think 92) to 99. With these current prices you won't lose much for the raw and cooked monk prices are 10-30gp apart.

monks never actually stop burning even with the gaunts (at 99 sometimes ill burn 2-3 a load with gaunts). Sharks are good from 94-99 because u dont burn many and u profit, however, i seem to burn A LOT of rocktails at 99 so idk if im doing something wrong or their just harder to cook.

Using the range in varrock cooking guild helps quite abit for burning rates.

I suppose they could, but I'm not sure on their burn rate, and at 94 with gaunts, sharks won't burn.

You never stop burning monks. I didn't burn one from 90-94, but it's still very possible.

You burn that many? I didn't burn one from 90-94, so that's strange it's that high.

Um alright I'm just gonna do lobsters till 81, swordfish till 90, monkfish till 94 then sharks the rest of the way. Does anyone know about how many fish/hour I can cook?

Should be 1150-1200 with full attention.

I averaged 1200 back when I did it. I had only the effects sound (music and ambience shut off) so I could hear when I stopped cooking, and then I'd roam the forums while I was cooking or watch TV or something of that sort.

Just tested Rocktails at varrock guild stove with gauntlets and I got 211k profit per 1k and 235k cooking xp per 1k. I burned 0. I would suggest doing that at 96-97+.
