Dungeoneering won't let me solo

So, I got through several dungeons soloing by just entering the free-for-all room. Now, I try that, and nothing happens. I just sit in that room. Is there something I'm missing?

I tried setting up a party for just myself, but there's no "start the dungeon" button on the party interface. What do I do after I choose the complexity and floor?

Thanks!

There's an entrance in a hole in the wall in the lobby off to the side a bit. Set up a party and it says enter the dungeon or something.

Thanks, I found it. It's on the western side, and says "Enter Dungeon" I think. I didn't notice it at first because it didn't look like the different doors to the rooms all around.

Well, that was a waste of 20 minutes.

Sweet niblets! What a pain in the butt!

I didn't realize it was a "Solo" problem at first. I thought it was some technical glitch. I asked jagex tech support and this was their reply:

I think you're passing through the Free-For-All barrier towards the back of the lobby area?

That method is really only used for parties. You can easily start a solo dungeon (by yourself) if you set it up through the ring, then go in through one of the dungeon entrances on either side of the lobby (these aren't barriers).

I figured I was all set, but I can't find those doors! I see one "hole in the wall" on the east side with a pile of rocks in front of it, but there is no way through. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Dunno why you bumped an old thread to ask this, but you just need to go in the doors... inside the castle, near the bank. There are 2 doors - 1 on either side.

Perhaps I "bumped' the thread for the exact reason I posted. ;)

I did finally find the doors with someone's help in game. I tried to post that a few hours ago, but my computer locked up and the post didn't survive the trip. BTW, you're the first one who ever mentioned the doors were near the bank. So, for the benefit of the next poor soul....

Immediately North of the bank and tutor, you walk between two pillars. as soon as you pass those, the doors are to the East and West. If you walk past the snow you were standing on, you've gone too far.
