Elektrik2H
Well, while training slayer in order to do Animal Magnetism I found I rather enjoyed slayer as a pure with range. And I would like to level it farther, while STILL being pure. I have at the very least 1.5-1.6M at my disposal, but can get more if needed. I have 63 range, 54 HP, 40 attack, 38 str and 26 mage, and the most important, 20 slayer, heh. If anyone has advice, please let me know, either on my blog, via PM here, or post on this topic. Thanks! -Ard Goal: 99 & Through Credits to Zokot for the sig.
Cptbaker08
Use ranging gear, Broad Bolts once you get 55 slayer, use C'bows when fighting stuff with high defense, use knives/darts on lower level tasks. Soulthresher
For the most xp/hr, always use range potions, addy/rune arrows or broad/mith/addy/rune bolts. Broad bolts aren't unlocked until 50 range I believe so go with mith/addy. The drops alone should cover the cost spent on supplies. You're prayer is 11 I assume so that is negligible. Ideally it's the same as training slayer anywhere else except you'll have to manipulate safespots more often without the use of summons.

I'm worried that A LOT of tasks will be impossible. And why would summons help? Goal: 99 & Through Credits to Zokot for the sig.

Extra xp/hr, no need to bank, etc. Every little bit helps but probably not for a pure :P
SirIzenhime
Get summoning up too, even if you're a "pure", just keep in mind that when you go into a Pvp world, unless you're actually using it, it won't count for your level. Anyways, as a pure, you're probably going to need to use protection prayer on a lot more tasks then normal, but overall, you'd be surprised at how many monsters are safe spotable. I got 99 range through slayer and was able to find safe spots for about 75% of my tasks. The only tasks I tanked were Greater Demons, Dust Devils, and Abyssal demons (I didn't actually rare every single task though, just most of them). pulli23
hmm dust devils can be safespotted in the original dungeon if I remember...Greaters can be safe spotted in the ogre enclave, or in high level f2p wilderness.Abyssal demons could be a bit of a problem.. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Also for their combat they are somewhat weak. Gilformen
safespotting isnt very hard, though doing it for most tastks is tedious. i ranged slayer to 60 on my pure without too much trouble, havent really bothered to train it since 70. 32,606th to 99 magic || 15,388th to 99 dungeoneering || 12,647th to 99 farming14,792nd to 99 range || 24,954th to 99 herblore
