skylor12344 Posted May 12, 2010 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Ok so im currently looking to get 90 range and 94 mage (not important atm however) to complete my goals of 90+ combat stats (with exception to prayer). So i was just wondering if anyone could tell me the best way to get 90 range from 81? So far im thinking about Black Dragons as i can use the Bones to train prayer and the drop will pay for my bolts/pots or doing Iron/Bronze knifes on yaks in full void. This is the setup ill be using Setup:Void Range Helm / Helm of NeitizznotRange Ammy / GloryVoid Knight Top / Black d'hide topVoid Robe Bottoms / Black d'hide legsSnakeskin Boots / Borrowed Range BootsVoid Knight Gloves / Barrows GlovesRune C'bowBroad boltsUnholy Book / Anti-fire Shield (for picking up drops)Archer RingAccumulator / Defence Cape(t) *note* I cannot afford chinning at the moment and Aviansies are too slow for my time frame so please do not suggest i do either of these. Zephy Posted May 12, 2010 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Black dragons are terrible exp given the time to safespot them and how much you miss, not to mention you'll need to bank if you want to get a decent return. If you want to do dragons to get prayer as a side benefit, try blues since they have a good safespot, lowish defense, and are usually empty. For good exp, fight something with low defense but high hp using knives. Yaks would be nice if they weren't so crowded. Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate. L0rdAki Posted May 12, 2010 Share Posted May 12, 2010 How much can you earn an hour? I can't see your stats, but if you're 90+ melees you should be able to earn that much in ct green dragons easily. Superheat Mage, faster and heaps less loss then alching, and chin range. Chins are about 200-300 exp per chin, you'll be range pot dosing every 5 mins and using however many prayer pots. You can get around 1-1.3k chins thrown in an hour. Work out the cost from there. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff. You can get over 1m/h. You just don't want to or are inefficient. The point is unless you want to make range a slow skill that you will hate, you should chin then go to godwars to make the money back. Then go for higher mage level. It will be faster overall then doing a slow method of ranging to save money for 99 mage. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. aspeeder Posted May 12, 2010 Share Posted May 12, 2010 If you go to aviansies for money, and then spend the money on chinning it will all balance out to around 100k exp/hr, which is a reasonable rate for any cb skill and should fit in your time-frame. skylor12344 Posted May 12, 2010 Author Share Posted May 12, 2010 @ Lordaki, im 90 att,92 str, 99 def but i perfer not to do green dragons as it takes forever to find an open world and as i dont have the most powerful of gear im not able to compete with some of the higher lvls in both the CT greens or CW greens. @Nifflin, Innefficent would be the word here, i try to make as much as i can /hr but my best is about 300-400k/hr doing something like chaos druids and running dailies. I've tried gwd a few times and im not very good at it, same with TD's and DK's im not just much of a boss hunter reallly i guess and its becoming harder to find teams for gwd without extremes,overloads, or turmoil. @aspeeder, Like i said avians are just not as much of an option right now because their extremely slow and i get bored of them very fast normally not able to stay for more than 2-3 hours at a time without leaving because of boredom. overall i guess 90 range is out of the question so ill just get 85 range and 94 mage.
