Curses Quesiton

Ok, so I've recently unlocked curse prayers, and was just wondering if while I'm doing slayer, is it worth using the Berserker Prayer if I'm using Turmoil and Super sets.

 

How does the prayer work? Do I just use it when I drink a dose and that's it, or do I just leave it on and slows down the drain rate of boosts, how fast does it drain prayer?

It slows down the the drain rate while it is activated, it also works on non-combat boosted stats from what i've heard. A friend calced it for me and its not worth it while using super potions and only worth it if you repot every five minutes while using extremes. Other then that its probably only useful while at bosses and that so you keep your stats higher longer before having to repot, but not so much if slaying.

No. With overloads you stay boosted for 5 mins, after that you go back to your regular stats.

If i was going to pray during slayer tasks, which i do, i would be using super pots AND using piety. I would rather spend ppots on piety than have to repot slightly less per task.

Didnt read the part about turmoil lol. Point being, not worth the prayer points. Its pretty much just valuing super sets vs. ppots.

Let's say you repot after your stats drop by X. We'll also assume, to be conservative, that you are using proselyte armor and a soulwars cape (30 prayer bonus). We'll also assume you use extremes (with supers berserker becomes less useful) and 99 prayer (with lower prayer prayer potions are less useful).

 

Without berserker: You will use 60/X doses per hour. This comes to 331,200/X gp/hour.

With berserker: You will use 60/(1.15X) doses per hour. This comes to 288,000/X gp/hour. You also use 97.6 prayer points per hour, which is 3.15 doses, or 7416gp.

 

Berserker is worth using if:

 

331,200/X > 288,000/X + 7416

 

Which solves to 0<x<5.8

 

If you're repotting every 5.8, you should probably be overloading anyway.

Well, since I'm only using Supers (too lazy to stew and CBA to train herblore), that would mean it isn't worth using, since I let my stats drain all the way before repotting.
