Sumona's KQ slayer challenge

Can her 1st form be ranged if I have a high enough range level? My range is 95, and att and str are both 70, so I don't think I can do the veracs method. I have a full slay helm and full armadyl.

It can be ranged - I've done it. I don't know if it is better than verac or not with your stats.

IIRC you can get a friend to help you with the first form and so long as you deal the majority of the damage overall, you complete the task. so get in a couple of hits on the first form then solo the second.

 

Good luck though, she's a lot harder than she seems...

shes harder then most gwd bosses IMO.

So...what do you guys think I should do? Help kill her 1st form, and then solo her 2nd form? Use armadyl and full slay helm for both forms? Or solo with veracs?

With the full slay helm it might actually be very doable to range both forms.

Ok, I've decided on ranging her. This is my setup

 

Full slay helm

Glory

Ava's accumulator

Acp

Arma skirt

Barrows gloves

Snakeskin boots

Ring of Life

Rune C'bow

Diamond (e) bolts

 

Now, what should I have in the shield slot? Unholy book, granite shield or rune kite? I can't use blessed shields because my summon lvl is 1. With granite shield I have more range def, but 6 less range attack than the rune kite.

Hybridding with void, godsword and rune c'bow owns her. also, don't use diamond (e) bolts... too expensive. use plain runite instead.

Thanks everyone for your advise. I managed to kill the KQ in 2 trips, and I used a rune kite for the range defence, and prayed mage. I used diamond bolts (e) for her 1st form, and rune bolts for her 2nd form. I got 500 mith arrows as the drop, which payed for the 1st inventory of sharks I used. So all in all, I spent around 11-15k in sharks and pots for 15k slay xp in around 10 mins, which is way better than cannoning bloodvelds for slayer xp.

 

If I had a terrorbird however, I would've killed her in 1 trip, because on the second trip I only used 10 sharks.

 

I recommend everyone to do sumona's KQ challenge, even if it takes you more than one trip :thumbsup:

I luckily managed to solo KQ in one trip having loaded my terrorbird with sharks, and using full veracs. Definitely seconding the advice here, if you are not a very leveled player I would recommend duoing instead (or maybe even teaming) using a slayer helmet where you can afford it (i.e. first form only if you are veracing) with boosted levels to give you as much a chance as possible to deal the most damage.

15k Slayer exp - yes please :thumbup:
