Training range on f2p

Just going to post the biggest most recent example:

Constitution (self explanitory really, but assuming people have my common sense will land me getting flamed tbh.)

 

Useless update that still pisses me off to this day.

 

10 year olds love big numbers. Do we need more 10 year olds playing runescape? No.

 

Jagex stated that they would put some new stuff in with new hp, hasent happened yet. If you are going to change something, at least make it better, not worse.

If anything the constitution update made it BETTER to train. More accurate numbers = more accurate exp.

Btw, i'm a big fan of common sense :). But the 'Constitution' update certainly didn't make anything worse and was HP in a bad state already? For some of the oldies alike me, it was a bit odd at first and apparently or so i'm told Runescape is heading towards, in similarity, to World of Warcraft - which is a bad thing, or so i'm told.

What I mean by the updates that take advantage of it is anything they plan to do with it in the future. There isn't much to get there. Whether it is items that lower your max LP for a time, or whatever else they may or may not be planning. As for the "10 year old kids" factor, it really won't bring that many more in for very long. They'll still get bored and leave, even though the numbers are bigger.

 

And training range in Daemonheim is only because I have arrows bound and never have to buy new ones. I don't play for maximum experience rates, I play to get my mind off of other things and chat with some friends.

The Constitution update itself was complete. It just opens up new ideas for ways to play around with future weapons/armor/potions/etc. Dungeoneering being only half released didn't make sense to me, either, though. But you're right that only time will tell regarding the 10 year olds. My prediction, however, is that they will still lose interest after they get killed a few times.

 

I also agree that, in its current state, Dungeoneering IS more of a mini-game than a skill. We'll see if they correct that with batch 2. I'm also only playing it for certain rewards, but I'm not even to level 20 in it.

Um, no. Bronze arrows are in short supply, not expensive. There's a 1k cap in the shop and takes forever to respawn or buy off gp. It's not even worth making yourself and tbh it was better if jagex just left the unlimited shop alone unless someone here can counter this statement, which noone has yet.

 

I ended up ponying up the money for mems. I found steel darts the best option to train with in comparison to prices/speed of arrows and knives. Ava's saves me gp and time that f2p would have otherwise left me without.

Actually, increasing the numbers is a complete update. Whether it is a good one or not is debatable. They could have saved it for when they got the first of the new ideas ready, but they didn't. They have their reasons, whatever they may be.
