Aviansie Help

Brodly

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Since I'm in need of some Ranged levels and I heard about Aviansies a lot I thought it might be a way for me to train it.

What I gather so far:

Equipment:

  • Rune Cbow
  • Broad Bolts
  • Armadyl Pendant
  • Unholy Book
  • Accumulator
  • Some Sara item, which one is best, I'm guessing coif??
  • Will Black dragonhide body and chaps be enough, I also have veracs skirt if thats any good. Rather not buy others??
  • Snakeskin Boots enough??

Inventory

  • Rope(First time GWD for me)
  • High alch runes
  • B2P Tabs
  • Restore Pots(Is this needed)??
  • What else??

I wasn't planning on using prayer, so tanking it is I guess, is this a good setup, what would you add or change.

Thanks in advance.

Equipment:

  • Rune Cbow
  • Broad Bolts
  • Armadyl Pendant/Fury/Glory
  • Granite Shield/Obby Shield (If you have money, I don't recommend it, Granite is more than enough.)
  • Accumulator
  • Neitznot; otherwise, anything you want. (Saradomin Coif if you want.)
  • Black Dragonhide Body
  • Dragon Plateskirt (Same stats as Dragon Platelegs, but way cheaper.)
  • Zamorak Vambraces
  • Archer Ring (Optional)
  • Snakeskin Boots

Inventory:

  • Grappling Hook
  • High alch runes
  • B2P Tabs
  • Cheap Food
  • BoB if you want, for more cheap food.

Tanking is a way better option, your 80 defense, you'll be able to tank for a long time.

When I go to my setup is like this:

Torag's helm

Armadyl Pendant

Ava's Accumulator

Saradomin chest

Rune xbow

Obby Shield

Torag's Legs

Snakeskin boots

Broad Bolts

Ring of Life (from what I've heard, RoW gives less profit)

Zammy Vambraces

In my inventory I have:

Natures

Fire Runes (Don't take staff, you might alch your xbow)

Bones to Peaches Tablets

Mithril Grapple

One click Tele

Rest monkfish

You could take a couple range pots if you want to, but I don't. We have pretty similar skills, and thats how I tank them.

That looks extremely expensive...a god piece can easily cost 1mil...

You could substitute barrows for dragon easily, but who wants to spend that much money when food is so cheap.

Its true, it was kinda expensive, but I had the torag's from hunting, and the other stuff has been paid off by hunting avi's, so I think it was worth it. And since they are god items I don't get attacked by the other creatures when I hunt them in the main area.

Thanks a lot, I will use this but a unholy book and black vambs instead, zamorak vambraces too expensive for now.

So a restore pot is not needed?

Get a Zamorak Coif, you need a Granite Shield.

Well, you could bring one, I guess, I usually just use the prayer thingie.

You'd be fine in dhide, arma pendant, and unholy book. However, upgrading some pieces to god related items will let you take advantage of better defense in other slots, leading to less damage and less healing needed. In particular, zammy vams/coif are pretty cheap and let you wear granite shield.

Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

To be perfectly honest, the only God item you really need is an Armadyl piece and you already have the pendant. I've found multiple spots scattered across the dungeon where the other monsters are pitifully weak or just easy to avoid. With 80 defence, you shouldn't be worrying about a level 13 icefiend.

Swap the Unholy book for a granite shield.

My best advice would be to bring some cheap and disposable items for each god except armadyl for your first trip (So monk robes, unholy book is free to replace. Bandos is your only trouble) and then test it out in various spots. If you find that you don't really need them, all the better and remember the spot. You've just added some flexibility to your setup.

I know I was pretty paranoid about God protection on my first run, but once I did a little more research into the dungeon, what levels the other monsters were, and check out multiple spots, I found it pretty easy to get by without all these fancy coifs and god items. They help, but are not absolutely necessary.

you dont need a sara item, just bring a mith grapple, and a zammy item. When I was going for 99 range I used this setup (with 85 def):

neit

arma pendent

accumulator

black dhide body

zammy chaps

snakeskin boots

obby/granite/df shield

r'cbow

snakeskin boots

barrows gloves

ROL (RoW barely helps)

broad bolts

inventory of b2p tabs, bunyips, super rests (to restore summoning 1 for every 4 bunyips, ignoring the first 1), and alch runes.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).
