mister_moocky
The new rewards look like [cabbage]. Jagex could have atleast kept the old decorative armour. I have 671 tickets on this account and 293 on and old one which now seem to be useless for me, seeing as overloads boost more than the castlewars potions and the ballista uses too much inventory space. I still love castlewars and will continue to play it but the rewards are just aweful. quit
Toki_Hakurei
Who cares. I got a cape that shows I have 500+ battles under my belt, a pretty nice looking shield, and a green halo. deskjethp
Absolutely. Proper CW rewards are gold and black. Epic looking. Rich looking. No questions about it. New stuff looks like it was dragged out of a muddy hole. Would you rather play a lot for a nice shiny gold reward that makes you look spiffy and rich Like a true decked out pro? Or some stuff that looks like wood/dirt? I mean come on... gold has value chiefly in that it looks good anyway right? Its shiny! It looks good! People got it because it looks good! Obviously not for the stats. It looks great. Dirty, brownish colors that all basically look the same no matter what level of armor? Why would you go for that? deskjethp
Cuz having old, war torn-looking armor makes you look like a true veteran? Well sure. I buy that. I think there should be an option to convert it back and forth though. Perhaps during combat it could get dirty/torn/whatever. People who like the new stuff: Fight. Boom. Dirty, veteran don't-even-think-about-messing-with-me look. People who like the old stuff: Ask Lanthus for a free cleaning. Boom. Clean, shiny, gold stuff. Options are good. quelmotz
aweful I don't get it - you're saying the rewards suck, then you say they're AWEful? ----- Seriously speaking, just go and post it on the tip.it patch notes thing in the Suggestions forum if you want a higher chance of Jagex paying attention. Making a rant here has little chance of Jagex paying attention to it. Click here for an awesome suggestion to revive smithing!
Cacmypants
Im confused as to why you have to spend tickets on ballista ammo seriously, 4 tickets for 3 games worth of ammo is a freaking rip off, instead of 2 tickets every 20min, its 2 tickets every freaking hour (if you're lucky enough to win, and even if you do win, the chances of your ballista turning the tide is pretty damn slim, thus wasted tickets). Not to mention that it forces the player to win at least 2/3 games just to break even, otherwise you're in for a loss. This is practically unheard of with castle wars tickets, they should be permanent rewards. The ammo purchase should have just been one-off thing that gave you the ability to pick up ammo within the supply room or something, not actual consumables. likewise with potion sets and the ballista itself.
