You need to do them all.

 

Prestige counts unique floors completed.

The game uses the highest out of your current and previous prestige.

 

If you don't do every floor u can access before reset u lose tons of prestige and thus have crud xp.

Eg if u reset after floor 1 - 30, then do floor 30 - 35 you'll have 30 prestige so get gd xp; but once u reset you only have 5 prestige so u screwed.

it's just easier to start at one, so that when you complete a floor, it automatically goes to the next one. But as long as you remember to leave and choose a floor you haven't done yet, it doesn't matter which order you do them in.

If you do the last floor you can do after a reset, then level and have access to a new floor, you have to do that same one again before it unlocks.

Other than that, no.
