May 31, 201016 yr Ok, so this basically explain it. Should I bind a fire staff, or a catalytic staff? I currently have a fire staff bound (the others being spinebeam longbow and 125 fractite arrows), and I'm thinking of replacing it with the +15% damage staff. But here's another deal: is it worth it to get my Runecrafting to 70 (for 3 fire runes per essence) for the staff? It is 67 at the moment. I'm trying to decide, because I need to know which is more efficient for maging in Daemonheim. Note I do sometimes alch items, specifically torn bags. KEYWORD: Efficient. If I'm going for effectiveness, I would have definitely selected the catalytic staff. Thanks! :) BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention
May 31, 201016 yr Author Go with the fire staff Sonic. That's the obvious answer, but how would that change if I were to get 70 RC? BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention
May 31, 201016 yr In terms of monster weaknesses, how binding works etc. You are stupid to bind both range and mage.To be most Efficient you should have melee and then mage OR range. Also you should bind an armour piece for ur second bind to be more efficient. But in terms of the question you posed: Fire staff all the way; 15% is handy but having to make less runes per round speeds you up more so. May 31, 201016 yr Author I get a fractite weapon each time I start a dungeon (usually battleaxe or maul), so I bind both range and magic. Also, monsters in F2P don't hit really hard so armor isn't really needed. I really only die of carelessness - I can just pray against the monster attacks. And hmm, I see about the fire staff. Thanks for answering my question, fire staff it is! May 31, 201016 yr i used to bind catalytic staff, because it can deal more damage average. however, after some time, i think it would be better off with fire staff. since can always alch useless items without having to wasting time go back sell to smuggler. and not to say save alot of times without having to rc fire runes. efficiency of fire staff is far greater then effectiveness of catalytic staff
May 31, 201016 yr Since you have 67 rc, I would recommend the catalytic staff. Thats PLENTY of f2p rc. And keep the frac arrows. Now that you can make deaths you dont need to bind them. 1,000 F2P Total Level Reached 10/8/10 !
