Fight Caves Setup

I was thinking about getting a fire cape recently, and it just happens that Kuradel has assigned me a Thzaar task, so I decided to accept her slayer challenge and do the fight caves. This means I can use the boosts of the slayer helm to my advantage. I've gone with a setup like this so far (sorry no picture)

 

Full Slayer Helm

Fury

Proselyte Top

Verac's Skirt

Barrows Gloves

Ava's Backpack Thing

Zammy Book

Dragon Boots

Zerker Ring

Whip/Rune Crossbow, with Broad Bolts in Ammo slot.

 

Basically I plan to melee everything but the 360's, and range the 360's and Jad (obviously). Is this a good idea? I also have guthan's plate in my invent when I'm not praying (I will only be praying against the 360's and Jad), so I have better defence against the level 90 range guys and the 180 melee guys. I also have enchanted excalibur in my invent aswell. I'm planning to go with rocktails' and prayer potions for prayer restore and healing, again, is this a good idea? Any comments would be great!

Melee'ing most of them is a pretty bad idea. You'll consume a lot more healing items then you already should ranging. And plus when the 360's come in, you need to have magic pray on the whole time one is in the arena. So this keeps you from praying on the 180s(Which you should do anyway if you don't have one locked into a safespot).

 

I would say: Range the whole cave, swap out prossy top for black hides. and the zerker ring for a explorer's or something. Dump the guthan's body and the rocktail, and replace with brews and more prayer potions.

 

And looking at a fight cave guide wouldn't hurt either.

If he switches to brews, he should also switch to Super Restores

 

If you range the whole way, your EE should provide more than enough healing during the cave, unless you mess up too much

Oh, yeah ,that's right #-o

 

I use a mixture of restores + prayer potions to keep the cost low. So that's why it slipped my mind.

 

But to OP:

 

Yeah. Range all the way, and have a decent ration of brews - restores. I normally pack 5 - 6 brews, and a healthy amount of restores. Around 10 - 12. then the rest prayer potions if you wish to save a bit. Otherwise just more restores.

Take some brews still, in case you mess up, or get hit at Jad and are able to heal up. 3 range pots, 4-6 brews, EE, different bolts if you want, and rest super restores and prayer potions.
