Fishing or Woodcutting?

I haven't played in a while, and i have a question. My woodcutting and fishing levels are the same, so which would be better to get to a 99? Which is faster, and which is more profitable?

Fishing is more profitable by 50m if you fish caves to 90 and rocks to 99 but wc is way faster in about half the time if you do ivy

Its true WC ivy would be faster, but it would make very little profit. If you did teaks, you could easily make money back and still get a decent rate as well as special logs.

 

If you want to get real technical, do the fastest method to get to 99 in the skill then do something else to make more profit. Depending on what you do you could possibly made more money doing it that way then the slower but easily profited way.

Wcing is uber-lame. Go for fishing, at least you'll have some decent cash by the time you're done.

wcing ivy is really, really fast if your an afker. i highly recommend it as soon as you get your hands on a dragon axe. if you feel bad about no profit then grow some herbs or something

Yeah. Woodcutting and fishing are both very poor skills for making money, especially in the current economy. So with either skill, you're more or less universally better off going for faster xp rather than slowing yourself down as much as 25% to try and make some mediocre profit. Just kill dragons or something later.
