I've made a very powerful weapon out of it, the Dragon Warspear is better than Dharok's Greataxe. It would be cool if it would really exist though. Who wouldn't be happy with such an powerful weapon...

The people who couldn't afford it once merchants set some ridiculously high price :)

But if those people had one... Then they wouldn't complain.

Like there will be much people that would buy it... I think that some people would try to obtain it by killing Dark Beasts, and not by buying it. Because of the high price... But on behalf of the price, the Dragon Warspear is quite a powerful weapon. I think that nobody would even try to bring it to the Wilderness... But that doesn't matter really, it's about the idea of a nice powerful weapon... 8)

Well happy RuneScaping!

I wanted it to be very powerful. 8) If Jagex would insert Dragon Warspear in RuneScape, it would ruin the Combat-Triangle yeah. But Mages could be able to kill somebody with the Dragon Warspear though... And who's dumb enough to go to the Wilderness with it... Jagex would only have some problems with people that kill a lot of high-level Monsters for their stuff, because the Dragon Warspear is very powerful. :) But I would find it very amusing if I saw someone with the Dragon Warspear...

Lol....G_Runeit, everything everyone keeps telling you if going in one ear and out the other. The fact that it ruins the PK triangle should be enough, let alone it's way too overpowered anyways. If you want a weapon I'm going to look at, here's what you do:

Get rid of the damn defense bonuses! What the heck were you thinking when you typed this?? Weapons RARELY come with defense bonuses, and even when they do, they sure as hell don't come with 105 melee defenses and 70 mage and range defense. You're an idiot for even suggesting it.

Second of all, lower the attack and strength bonuses by...oh...say...40 points. Unless you were planning on making this as slow as the great axe, it CAN'T have that high of an attack bonus. If you want it as fast as a regular warspear then it needs to be in the 90-100 range, since the whip is already 82.

Third of all, what on EARTH were you thinking when you wrote 35 prayer bonus??? No full set of armor in the game even gives that much! Make it...oh, say, 8 prayer, at the MOST.

Fourth, you REALLY need to think things out before you type them, especially the special. What if the person who is using this weapon can't hit 25's? Obviously it'd be rare for a level 70 to be weilding this, but in that event, they wouldn't be able to use the special, or...shouldn't, at least. What you do is make it so the special allows you to always hit in your upper 75% damage range. For example, if you can hit a 30 for the max, and you use the special, you would not be able to hit below a 22-23. That would make it more reasonable for ALL levels.

Overall, this is SUCH a poorly thought out idea. It really made my jaw drop (literally) when I read this post. My first initial thought when I started to read was "What the heck was he thinking???" and my last thought after reading was "What the heck was he thinking?????"

No need to close it. Leave it open. I'm sure eventually the idea can be molded into a much better one. I say leave it open for discussion on what could make it a better weapon. It wasdn't a bad idea in theory, but in reality it just couldn't happen...that's all.

Swift Strike - 100% Charge - Always hits very fast and it hits 15 or higher. Lowers Attack, Strength, Defence, Magic & Ranged with 10%.

are you serious..... 15 or higher... how many hits do you plan on haveing.... 4? thats 60 damage... are you insane...?? seriously... and haveing it low all those stats....

as for this

I've made a very powerful weapon out of it, the Dragon Warspear is better than Dharok's Greataxe. It would be cool if it would really exist though. Who wouldn't be happy with such an powerful weapon...

when it hits 30 mill and mega rich people buy it and create a stakeing pure with just those reqs and make a crapload of $ from stakeing people or just 4 hitting people in wildy... i don't think i would be happy with it then... nope... not happy at all....

not to discourage you though... i made a really really bad mage idea and posted it here.... meh i just love getting flamed... i decided to take it off and rethink it before posting complete ownage spells.... :P take some time and really think about it in relation to other weapons next time.

Well, it definetly IS much better than the 140 attack, 105 defense, 40 prayer, and 140 strength version...but now, lol...(is almost afraid to say it)...it seems too weak. :P

Here's a tip I use whenever I'm "inventing" new items for Runescape:

Always always think about two aspects over anything else.

1. Are the stats realistic, and if so, are they good enough to be considered a drop from that specific monster? (Aka...Dark Beasts weapon drops should be STRONGER than the whip, but not so amazingly strong that it becomes too unrealistic.

2. Will it destroy the economy? If so, why? Merchants and what not will ALWAYS be an issue, but eventually, like the whip, the prices will fall. However, if the price is high because of the STATS, then maybe that's a reason to lower them. (For example, the first version of the warspear you had would have been sold for cash in the 40-50mill range, not the 21mill range.)

So, here's what I say...make the stats better than the whip, but no more than 95 attack, 90 strength, 5 prayer, 5 defense to each stat, and make the special hit a percentage of your max hit, rather than a set amount. Also, make the requirements a BIT tougher than that. Maybe 70 strength and 70 hit points, since the whip I believe is 70 attack. Oh yes, and Mourning's Ends Part 1 AND 2 should be requirements to weild as well. Basically, here's what it would look like, revamped:

Dragon Warspear:

dragonwarspear9nf.png

Requirements:

Quests: Lost City, Heroes Quest, Regicide & Legends Quest, Mourning's Ends Part 1, Mourning's Ends Part 2.

60 Attack

70 Strength

60 Defence

70 Hitpoints

Attack Bonus:

Stab: +92

Slash: +92

Crush: +92

Magic: -8

Range: -8

Defence Bonus:

Stab: +5

Slash: +5

Crush: +5

Magic: -8

Range: +5

Other Bonuses:

Strength: +90

Prayer: +5

Special Attack:

Swift Strike - 100% Charge - Always hits at least 60% of whatever your max damage is. For example, if you can hit a max of 36 with this weapon, when using the special you will ALWAYS hit at least 22 damage.

Tradable:

Yes.

Where Found:

Drop from Dark Beasts. Drop Rate approximately 1:350 Dark Beasts

Street Price:

20,000,000 Gp for the first few weeks. Price would be expected to drop to around 8-10 Million within the next few months after the release.

I've improved the stats of the Dragon Warspear... It is more realistic now, and the price isn't too expensive... Since it's better than Abyssal Whip. Everything is updated now... The Special Attack is quite strong, however it's an 100% Charge... I'll try and keep improving the Dragon Warspear, with new pictures, information, etc.

You can always post comments and tips for my Dragon Warspear. :)

I would like to improve the stats of it... But I would need some hints of what to improve. :o

I think that the Special Attack is quite well balanced... Maybe the Levels to wield the Dragon Warspear are too low... :?

I don't know...

hmmm....the main problem that I see with this is that there are already too many weapons in Runescape; the game is becoming,........not exactly easy, but way too easy to suit my likeing; true, I don't have an ultra high level account, but I have played Runescape for almost four years and it has slowly gotten much, much easier since it began. Therefore: no, I would not impliment a totally new kind of weapon.
