June 22, 201016 yr Right...So today...I got hacked...I'm pretty sure this kid ip hacked me....basically I am wondering what I can do to get my ip to the point that he can't hack it any more? I went to my 'config' and reset it...but it still shows the same on my rs log in...i unplugged my modem and it's still the same..what should I do? :(
June 22, 201016 yr Well, I don't mean to be rude but it's pretty clear you have no idea how hacking works. There are two ways someone can get your runescape password: A) If you tell them.B) If they install a program called a key-logger on your computer. A key-logger will record all the keys you press in a text file and send it to whoever he chooses. Changing your IP address won't help you at all. If you don't have a firewall, get one. June 22, 201016 yr Changing your IP won't make a single bit of difference, and plenty of modems have static IP addresses that don't change no matter what you do. The source of your problems probably lies in a keylogger on your computer, which only sends information one way. It doesn't need to know what your IP address is to do that. A full scan on your anti-virus program should fix that problem. ~ W ~

If he hacked you, he knows your password. This either means he found your password somewhere, you told him, or he installed a keylogger. June 22, 201016 yr Author It could have been possible for him to get my password looking over my shoulder...but what i don't get is he also got on two of my pures..?...like i said i have scanned with avg, 3 times...nothing was found

June 26, 201016 yr i will try to construct a crude metaphor, someone correct me if you see fit what you are saying, that he hacked you with your IP, is like saying i broke into your house through your address
