I'm not usually the one to complain, but... GAH

 

I've been pking for a while now and basically, when you're a good pk'er you get [cabbage] loot. [cabbage] [bleep]ING LOOT.

If you don't die twice a minute, you loot will be bad, and with bad loot I mean losing 50 ep over a rune full helmet and an amulet of strength.

 

Even when at 100 ep, something you've been working on for 2 whole damn hours, your loot will probably still be bad.

 

I'm sure the pk'ers on tip.it will understand me, we are absolutely forced to stand around in wildy waiting for hours on end before we can go pking and actually expect to make some money.

 

Also, rage @ only getting 100k after killing someone in full guthans while risking a saradomin sword (he was quitting) and only getting an amulet of glory, a bandos crimshaw (50k) and a bunch of useless [cabbage].

It's actually not that bad if I'm allowed to say so myself. Sure Jagex sort of had to make a compromise which included a trade off that if you kill someone with hundreds of mils in items or GP you wouldn't get it, but that was well warranted. Pre-2007 PKing didn't give much loot either for the typical Edgeville player killer - a set of rune platelegs, a dragon dagger and a Neitiznot helm only because they had to update it. Nowadays the loot is actually quite good, more than satisfactory I'd say.. it's even the cause for many disgruntled players. You'll run into a few strings of bad luck but that's what it is really in the end - bad luck. Stick at it and you'll see the Ancient Stats and Vesta Longs rolling in :smile: It could be at 0% EP, it could be at 100%.. you really never know.

 

P.S. You don't need to sit around and gain EP, you can do other things too :mrgreen:

People regularly make between 2-8mil a day ep'ing, and that's not even real pking. How are you still getting bad loot? :s

With all the things wrong with PvP loot, you decide to complain about this? Come on mate.

I can't complain about the food I eat during a battle costing as much as the drop I get, mate?

Lol, pvp used to be terrible cash, no one used to risk anything good and 1-iteming was an even bigger problem. It might have been good fun back then but I think it's even better now

As a regular F2p PKer, waiting for EP is just a waste of time in my experience.

 

I seem to get the same loot at zero EP as i do at 100 EP, only i have to wait fking ages for the 100 EP.

 

Generally though, Higher levels = Better loot, and P2p = Better loot. So assuming you fullfill one or two of that, you SHOULD get decent loot.

Loot does seem rather random, I remember getting a darkbow off a ddp++ one-itemer with minimal EP. Though this may have been before the update, I've received sht all since then.

Im on a bad loot streak atm too, it ends though. And you dont need to stand around and EP, use brawling gloves or something.

Prior to the RWT updates, it was not uncommon to get rune legs and a strength amulet as your only drop since everyone wore untradable and cheap gear to battle with. Average loot's definitely gone up.

But when you'd finally down that guy risking his whip, or wearing barrows items

 

you knew you'd get a decent drop

Yea its an unfortunate system, but thats the price we pay for jagex cracking down on RWT.
