CLS vs Rapier

I'm a bit stuck here, as I don't know which to pick (FOR MY OWN USES, not which is better in general). ATM I'm almost halfway there (70k tokens) and I would like your opinions. Since I know some people will say CLS is for bosses and rapier for training. I'll say that I do occasionally go to GWD with my clan, but I solo TDS mainly as far as MHing goes. I don't do much slayer but I prefer it to be quick and easy. The only PVP I do is in Castle Wars, and it's only casual, but I occasionally go to clan wars or FoG.

 

 

Those are my stats if it matters.

 

Before anyone even thinks about this...I will NOT choose maul, arcane stream, scroll of life, etc etc... until I get my choice in weapon.

considering what you do....I would actually lean towards a maul....then work towards a rapier :unsure:

 

If you really only want one weapon, then CLS, since it's good at more things, just keep in mind that it's rarely the best for any situation.

Ya imo cls the speed loss to rapier is overpowered by much higher stats.....imo at least. :thumbsup:

the speed loss of the rapier is almost never overpowered by "much higher stats"

If I were you I'd get a rapier, even considering you boss hunt alot. But you should consider getting a maul for PVP and boss hunting later on.

Rather than do the whole slayer/boss-hunting scenario, I find it's easier to ask yourself, "whip or godsword?" The difference between CLS and CR is not as big of a difference as the whip/GS difference, but it's pretty much the same argument.

 

Although I'd recommend ignoring the CLS and going for both rapier and maul :D

You guys must be high.... i'm jking in all honesty rapier and maybe even maul are probably better than cls but i'm real big on tds so I like balance.

If all you do is solo bandos and sara, CLS is your weapon of choice. If you do a bunch of different stuff, it's between rapier and maul. Because you don't want a maul, get a rapier.

I think the best advice i can offer you is, "what fits your play style?" do you want fast hits, an all rounder that's good for anything, or max hits? That's basically what it breaks down to.
