How can I get better drops from pvp?

Featured Replies

Whenever I go on a pvp world, bounty world, or bounty+1 world, my drops are rubbish. I've tried getting my ep up, I always risk over 100k, which is over the 75k, and I always get lots of kills. But I don't make much, if any money. So I'm just wondering, Is there a good way to improve my drops?

Lost networth over 75k will add to your drop potential so....take out all your bank, go die, and...get good drops. No, really.

Other than that, get 138 combat or kill as many targets as you can. Nothing much else changes your drops.

Well as you can read out of my reply, the things that do effect your dp are lost wealth, combat level and killing a target, so if you pk-ed in 300k gear, increased you combat level by ~10 and duelled with every target you get you'd propaby be making quite a bit more pking. Lost wealth doesn't infinitely effect your dp, as evidenced by some bugs with familiars, however, if you die for a reasnoble amount every once in a while you'd more than likely be getting a profit over the lost items.

For the record you need to be risking over 76K, not 75K. Most of the pvp drops are luck, but when you kill a target you are supposed to get better loot. (although my drops have been pretty bad lately)

Funny how a number like 75003 can make people say silly things like that....

if you die with it, then yeah. You get death potential, which is kind of like hidden ep. It increases the value of your loot if you die a bit.

I think that death potential averages at like 2/3 of what you lost, if you start with 0% ep. So losing 5mil, you would make like 3.8m back off death potential on average. I am not sure about this, it is just from my experience before they changed 76king. When I died i would get a friend to give me a few 76ks and i would get about 2/3 of the value i lost back, if i had low ep to start.

I also think that the more you are risking, the higher your chances are of getting good loot. I once saw 2 friends eping back when it was 26k. They would both get 100% ep, then one would hold 26001 gp and the other would wear like 3rd age, red phat, and claws, and kill him. They were getting like statius and vesta stuff, with like 600m risk.
