@Mather, not much to find metalwise, though there are some now empty cans of food which would be made out of tin or something similar. Also, you could go with Edel and Ross to the farmhouse.

I take the cans and head to the farmhouse.

I walk in ever so slightly trying to find the source of the moans, my gun is raised high and is darting around the room. If I see anything unhuman I will run towards it and try to get a point blank (metre or so) headshot.

I head to the farmhouse too.

@Mather, ok, you get to the farmhouse with Ross and Edel already there.

@ Edel, in the first room you see that it's an abandoned kitchen, there are some cabinets, a stove, a counter, and a broken refrigerator. There are two doors leading out.

@ Icu, ok. And +.2 trap.

I search the cabinets.

@Mather, You find 4 cans of food, a rusty kitchen knife (5"), a roll of string, some wine glasses, and two cloth napkins.

I take it all then empty the fridge and tip it over to take a look at it's back.

I go into the house and follow Edel, peering into the kitchen quickly. If it is empty, I check the cupboards.

@ Mather, you find a key and 5 shotgun shells in the fridge. On the back is the usual electronics and all, though it's burnt out. You do find a medium sized magnet in the workings though.

@ Ross, Cupboards just emptied by Mather.

I dismantle the electronics and gas system in the fridge, then look at what I've got out of it.

I ask Ross for the shells due to the fact i'm the only one with the shotgun and continue exploring.

I suddenly realise that usually dimods and other valubles are kept under floorboards and walk into the living room, shoot the floor and try to rip out the floor boards incase of jewlery and all that stuff.

Yeah, and I give the shells to Edel.

 

BTW, don't touch the stove or fridge, I'm gonna use them for something quite... mcGyver-ish.

@Mather, it's all pretty much burnt out, but you get about 2 pounds of various metal junk.

@ Edel, you're still in the kitchen, there are two different doors. You can still hear a faint moaning sound.

I walk into the living room and check the cupboards, as well as opening up any electronics and such in there.

Which way is the moaning sound from.

Logically couldn't there would have to be two zombies for the disease to spread so I approch the loudest noise with my gun up high.

@ Ross, the only room we know about is the kitchen, and it has the entrance way we all came from, and then two closed doors.

@ Edel, the door on the left. And not necessarily, a farmer could have got bitten, and gone back home. It's not like he's gonna stand still all day after being bit. Following that logic, there should be 3, because someone needs to infect the 2nd zombie. And 4, to infect the 3rd. etc.

Oh sorry, I forgot the fact that zombification is not instant.

I kick open the left door and poise my gun up.

If I see the zombie I run up to it and blow its mother[bleep]ing head off! (from about a metre away)

I collect the pipes from the back of the fridge and check what kind of stove it is (electrical, fire, gass).

@ Edel, you kick open the door and almost fall down the set of stairs to the basement that were behind the door. You catch the railing though, fortunately. It's pitch black downstairs, and there is no visible switch.

@Mather: +2 1' long copper pipes. The stove seems to be gas.

I fire three shots into blank space in the hope of killing whatevers down their and scream to Ross for help.

I collect the tank from the fridge and try to use the pipes to connect the gas nozles in the stove to the fridge which I attempt to rise up.
