Blutters
It appears that both ImageShack and TinyPic greatly reduce the colors in pictures uploaded using them.I don't know how long this has happened for, or if it has in fact always happened, but I just recently noticed it with pictures that have a high concentration of blues (my signature and Mithril Dragon pictures being the most recent)...Can someone please explain why this is happening and link to an image uploader that keeps the original colors?Something to do with web-safe colors? I've really got no idea. My signature is not supposed to be that purple!
tripsis
I don't think I've ever noticed that before ;o What are you comparing it to, exactly? My signature specifically should be much closer to the color of the background here on TIF, if you're using the Mithril skin - a grayish blue. Blutters
See, that's exactly what I was talking about - you can take a straight screenshot of the page and it'll still come out the wrong color when uploaded.
Bladewing
Err that's the right color, it's just in the quote tag, which has a lighter color. I use photobucket and never had any problem. Best of luck. Blutters
His example is far darker than the normal post background too...It doesn't match any blue on my page.
Bladewing
Well for me it blended right in. Perhaps it's your screen / forum skin? How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
Blutters
Using Tip.It theme, but I think it may be FireFox. Let me go find IE real quick... Right, right, I've tried all the skins, and the only blue one is the Tip.It Theme, which I believe used to be called Mithril.Internet Explorer has the same case except that for some reason my signature picture is brighter by a noticeable amount. Comparing IE and FF of pictures of the same section show that while my sig picture is lighter in IE, the TIp.It board is darker - but still not dark enough to match the above sample. Brett0wnz
im using firefox and the above image of the color in the original post blended in with me. At first i asked "why did you post spaces and say test?"i realized what it was when i read on. maybe its your computer settings? - 86,939th to 99 Woodcutting on July 10, 2010 (CHOPPED EUCALYPTUS TREES) - Achieved 99 Fletching on November 23, 2010 - Achieved 99 Fishing on November 2, 2011 - Achieved 99 Cooking on November 7, 2011
Blutters
I think it might be FireFox, let me look about. The colors in RuneScape are different and seem correct, and the pictures I create are different colors than they are when I upload them, so I don't think it's my computer itself
