December 1, 200520 yr If you're going to bash the Skyline just because it appeared in the Fast and Furious films, GTHO. It's a beautiful car in its own right and is the best performing track car with a 2~2.5L engine I know. Quite honestly It'd beat the s**t out of most cars in its price range. I'd like to see you go out and buy a Maserati or Ferrari (something that could beat a Skyline) for under ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã25,000. Quick spec list on a Skyline R34 GTR. Top Speed: 251 km/h / 156 mph 0-60 mph Acceleration: 5.2 s So not overly bad for a car with a 2.5L engine. :? The thing with the engines in these cars are, they're heavily modifiable which has been proven several times with things like 1000BHP at the Flywheel. Someone also managed a 700BHP at the wheels. Hell it must of kicked like a ... You know, but at least it was a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã50-75,000 700BHP car and not a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100,000+ 400~600BHP car. So for all of those who hate this car, I say it's jealousy. Notoriously Trollish.
December 1, 200520 yr im thinking i might add a bodykit to my volvo 440 to make it look like one. I wouldn't do that. Basically tuning a cheap car to look like a better one just makes it look stupid, not cool. If I was you, I'd rather save 10 years to buy it than tune a cheaper one look a bit like that. I think you need to finetune your sarcasm detector ;) Calling 2 Fast 2 Furious a great movie was a dead give-away  Haha. I liked that film. :( -Mitch- New sig to come!
December 1, 200520 yr but at least it was a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã50-75,000 700BHP car and not a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100,000+ 400~600BHP car. BHP isn't everything, I bet it would go nicely in a straight line but not around the corners - whereas the ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100,000 ones would.
December 1, 200520 yr Chris mate, the new Evo has a 2.0L engine and spews out more MPH and BHP than that. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

Actually the Skyline has one of the most advanced traction control systems for its time. The onboard computers would compensate for any loss of traction on any of the wheels. So to be quite honest we're still sticking with just power. As I'm sure these ridiculously priced supercars have the same technology. Although I'm sure the Skylines were the first. Chris mate, the new Evo has a 2.0L engine and spews out more MPH and BHP than that. I haven't seen the specs on the new Evo. Gimme a break it is a new car... :P How old is the R34? Definately a lot older than less than a year old car. Notoriously Trollish.
December 1, 200520 yr I don't know much about cars but surely the laws of physics would suggest that regardless of traction control technology, a big road car like a skyline would have more trouble actually getting itself around a corner than a very low down, ground hugging cornering machine like one of the large selection of 'supercars'. You also said about it beating the expletive out of cars in its price range - maybe in BHP, but not in speed on something with corners - for example the Ariel Atom: http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/ Tested by the Stig on the top gear test track and coming behind only the Maserati MC12 and Ferrari Enzo. This is a ~̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã25,000 car which beat: Porsche Carrera GT Mercedes-McLaren SLR Ford GT Lamborghini Murcielago Pagani Zonda Porsche GT3

December 2, 200520 yr they are so low to the ground and way about as much as a feather so obviously they'd win with the way they accelarate

A basica skyline has pretty good cornerin on its own and all that you would need to do if you wanted it to have better cornerin would be to upgrade the tires on it. You dont have to have all the comps ect. And phil how can you jst like the plain skyline i admitte it dose look gd but havin neons and skirts and spoliers, hoods ect make the car look much better and makes it stand out from the corwed a bit more and turns ppls heads.
December 2, 200520 yr Herr all of those cars cost over ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã25.000 That was exactly my point... The Atom beat all of those and it is much cheaper...
December 2, 200520 yr Author OK you win on that one. But that is only a little kit car. I preferr somthin that looks strong big and pwerfull and gd with a kit on it
December 2, 200520 yr Because looks are everything, regardless that the Atom costs a pittance compared to the others, would be much easier to maintain, and wipes the floor with them. I think folks like you are the reason our streets are filled with boy racers with fart pipe exhausts on their 1.2l supercars which look like they just drove through a halfords store, all crowding round "maccy D's" like it's some sort of mecca.
December 2, 200520 yr Author I dont intend to drive in maccy Ds cqr park. And the skyline dont ook like it has been in halfords. Only [cabbage]ty cars look like that
