Best freeware for Windows?

Ubuntu isn't a program for Windows, also not the best Linux distro.

Just out of interest, what would you consider the best Linux distro? I run ubuntu server edition and I'm quite happy with it.

Small and useful Media Player, runs almost all file types as well as DVDs and DVD folders.
