StarCraft Help

Featured Replies

I bought the StarCraft Battle Chest, and I can't install it.

I keep getting this error:

I've tried installing to a different location, and even going into the files of the disc and clicking the installer, but no luck.

Help please? It's the disc version.

Create an account at http://us.battle.net/. Then go to the Account Management thing, and then add your Starcraft to the account. Then download the game from Blizzard and see if it works (it worked fine for me when I downloaded it from there). You do need the CD keys for any given game to authenticate it though.

Alright, I'll try it.

I'm out of options at this point. I even copied the files from the disc and installed it that way, still error.

Might sound strange: torrent it?

Well, torrenting it would be my last option. It wouldn't be illegal because I own the game and it doesn't work, correct?

As long as your provide your own serial key it's legal. It's only illegal if your obtaining your serial key illegally through say a keygen or something.

Battle.Net Download still gets the error.

I feel like I wasted $20 on a game that doesn't work

Try taking it to the store and getting another one, if the problem continues try contacting Battle.Net about it.
