Snowboarding equipment

Recommended Posts

I'm planning a snowboarding trip for the 8th of January and i'm after some info from anyone who does snowboarding (or skiing).

Basically i'm looking to buy a new jacket as mine is a bit dated and doesn't protect me from the snow too well anymore. I'm also after a pair of goggles. I'm in the UK so i was wondering if anyone knows of any cheap stores (preferably online) where i can pick up some gear.

For anyone who's interested, i'm going to the resort of Pas De La Casa in Andorra. I went there last year with 3 mates and we had such a great time we decided to go again - it's described as Ibiza on snow due to all it's pubs, clubs and restaurants.

Edit: I'm thinking of getting a pair of boots too - nothing too fancy, but it sure beats the hire equipment!

Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

Are you looking for advice on what to buy? because I can help you out in that regarcd.

Not necessarily, just the cheapest place to buy from the UK.

Edit: Although i suppose it wouldn't hurt. The boots are my lowest priority because i probably won't buy my own boots/board until after this trip.

If you want to advise on which jackets and goggles to buy, then feel free :)

I wouldnt go wasting your money on boots and bindings if your only going on the one trip. The hire gear isnt too bad.

Lvl 80 construction.

Dragon Drops: 11 (4 Chains, 2 Axes, 1 Med, 2 Skirts, 1 Legs, 1 2h)

God Wars Drops: 4 Zamorakian Spears, 1 Godsword Shard 1

Not yet dude, maybe in 2007 though. I definitely want to make snowboarding a yearly, if not twice yearly thing.

This will be my third snowboarding trip, and i've done a total of 5 weeks skiing before i took up boarding. As i said to nik, i'm planning on having at least 1 week of boarding every year from now on, plus i'll hit artificial slopes here in the UK as and when i can.

I've had hire gear before (obviously), and it is ok, but if i'm gonna be doing this as much as i want to, it's wiser to accumulate my own gear as i go along - it'll probably work out cheaper in the long run than paying ~ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã75 every time i want to hire boots and board.
