July 20, 201015 yr Actually, it does seem like a glitch. Not only is it completely nonsensical as ive already mentioned, but why would they suddenly make monks drop no bones and give you prayer xp upon killing. And why do humans not drop bones, why! Unless holy bones somehow bury themselves... You turn the game chat filter off and see: The Monk's bones wriggle into the ground, burying themselves and giving you a bit of Prayer experience. I'd lol if this was actually true.

I'd lol if this was actually true.Seeing as how I confirmed the actual topic, I'll see if anything like this happens. Give me a moment I'll edit this post with the result. EDIT: No, the 'Game' chat says nothing about the added Prayer experience. The only way of knowing is to watch your XP Tracker after the kill for a late +4 to be added, or to watch your Prayer XP itself.
July 20, 201015 yr Meh. Not a big loss. Pures with 1 prayer failed anyway... Hehe. The challenge of a mistake is not to avoid it. The challenge of a mistake is dealing with the outcome. Proud of who I am and what I am.
July 20, 201015 yr I suppose as someone else had mentioned, if the update it gets out and people hear about it, it could be a very nice way for accounts to get their Prayer up in the first few days/weeks/months of playing. I think it was a good idea, seeing as how burying bones is quite a hassle, especially since that's all that's available for F2P. Make the best of it! Maybe we'll even see this done to other monsters?
July 20, 201015 yr They've already done this to ghasts, but you don't expect ghasts to drop ghast bones, right? And lol. This update is just making newbies lazier. How hard is it to pick up the bones and click on it?! <_< BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention

July 20, 201015 yr Ghasts were DESIGNED to give you prayer xp per kill, though. Monks weren't, they were just changed to do so. ~It's Super Effective! July 20, 201015 yr I just tried it. They dropped bones for me. Are you killing the Monks in the Monastery? I don't know if there are others though. It's been personally confirmed by myself, and many others as well as members of the Crew, so I really don't see how they could drop bones for you... EDIT: It seems that Jagex has changed this update back. Monks no longer give Prayer experience, but now drop bones again.
July 20, 201015 yr Yep, I've taken pictures, and submitted the correction again, the Bestiary should reflect this shortly.
