Ok your Clock speed is pants, 600mhz could be why sometimes. Don't play RS with MSN etc open. Do a spyware scan using Adaware SE http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ . Trying downloading and using Sun Java (java.sun.com) download link is on the right when you go on the page.

Chris
600Mhz in an Athlon? You must have a really old Athlon there man lol. Like a 1200-1500? You really aren't being much help lately for a "Tech Head" Anyway a 600MHz Athlon is more likely the first Athlon, which was a Slot A processor. Not an XP. http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K7/AMD-At ... 7600%20(ES).html The K7! Woo. I'm pretty much with Jammy on the spyware/malware scans. You might also want to try disabling the Windows XP theme. Putting it back to how it would look on Windows 2k or 98 would maybe speed it up. Apart from those two things I can't see much else wrong. :? You have an adequate clock speed and amount of RAM. :) Notoriously Trollish.
l33thunt3r
New CPU. I did a Spybot search, deleted all that I found. More help? Oh I asked people if they lagged, some of them had the same problem.
l33thunt3r
Many people I asked had the same prob, and now I lag on and off. Help... just tell me if it's either Jagex's problem or mine. (Or Comcast, one of my theories). Help...

Boogityboo04
Approx. where do you live? For me i have the same problem, and there is only one or two servers that dont do it for me, so id also suggest trying a few different servers. And also removing the XP theme can help allot on an old system. rotalsnarT laciffOSolving the confusion once and for all
