pityme
Hi, I've died at Fight Caves 8 times already, and im on my 9th try near Jad. I can't seem to deal with the healers and Jad at the same time, such as looking at his feet while switching to long range + attacking one healer, so I was wondering if it is possible to outhit the heals while distracting possibly one-2 healers? Also, should i just tank them with steel skin? 3 Brews and 4 super restores left :/. Should i use eagle eye? I might have a surplus, but its just whether i can survive the click inventory + click pot + click prayer. I'm also worried if I can be able to click my ppots in time while watching Jad AND while atking the healers. My reflexes are pretty slow compared to others, so in gist, im just asking how did you guys manage to do all the multitasks at once? It'd be great if Jad could just stick to one attack style for like 10 seconds, but it seems like he switches each and every attack, with exception of a few @_@. Thanks! Edit: I read the guides, but it doesnt teach much to multitask jad and the healers x:
Kidd_Varrow
Definitely use eagle eye. I found it easier to simply kill the healers and then finish Jad off once they were all gone. This way I didn't have to take my attention off Jad very long.
pityme
Did you have to go to a safespot oO? Also, when you attacked all the healers, did you walk close into Jad's melee range? And, did you have difficulty watching Jad and killing the healers x-x thanks! Edit* Oh and do i use accurate, rapid, or long range when fighting Jad? manitstinks
You can claw + veng jad when it is near half hp just to be sure. If you brew, your constitution lvl only has to be at least 85 or so so you wouldn't get one hit koed
pityme
x: But wouldn't the possibly of hitting low by bad luck lead me to a K.O., and um what do you mean by the constitution, like i heal until im over 850 hp? or i lvl my constitution? I used long range when killing the healers to make sure I didn't get too close to Jad and rapid otherwise. I always prayed magic unless I saw him preparing his range attack, so if I saw he was about to use magic, I quickly targeted one of the healers and focused my attention back to Jad. I listened for the death sound to tell me when each healer died.
pityme
Ah kk ty, would you think that that'd be possible for someone with slower reflexes than you x: oh and what range lvl were you then
Kidd_Varrow
Ah kk ty, would you think that that'd be possible for someone with slower reflexes than you x: oh and what range lvl were you then It depends on how slow. The trick is learning the animations for each attack and using f1 and f3 to switch between inventory and prayers. I was about 82-83 range I think. pityme
Wait, how* do i use f1 and f3 to switch between Oo, oh and do i have to atk all 4 healers or just one at a time, yet jad wont heal full in that time
Wilmot
The trick with jad is not to try and do everything at once. I always only do ONE THING inbetween his attacks. So before healers come I'm thinking something like this Mouse over prayer that isn't active - do I need to switch prayer? - switch if needed - can I need to drink a prayer potion? No - Mouse over prayer that isn't active - do I need to switch prayer? - switch if needed - can I drink a prayer potion? Yes - Mouse over prayer that isn't active - do I need to switch prayer? - switch if needed - Drink prayer potion - Mouse over...... And when healers come use the same method, i.e. Mouse over the prayer that isn't active - do I need to switch prayer? - switch if needed - attack a healer - Mouse over the prayer that isn't active - do I need to switch prayer? - switch if needed - attack next healer - Mouse over the prayer that isn't active - do I need to switch prayer? - switch if needed - attack next healer - Mouse over... This way there's no multitasking at all, just one great big long shopping list. As for mundane tips, I'd suggest giving eagle eye a miss, if anything use the 10% one or nothing at all. Less prayer drain = less to worry about. Also, I suggest you kill jad with a 10/10 crystal longbow on rapid.
pityme
Ah kk, tyvm, edit: also, isnt crystal bow full less atk thanbroad bolts

Edit: I read the guides, but it doesnt teach much to multitask jad and the healers x:I did it while only distracting two of the healers. However, I am 99 ranged and I was on a fight caves slayer task, so that helped. I also used deflect curses, which helped tremendously, as most of Jad's attacks will reflect back 50-80 damage. That is very helpful.

For me, Jad wasn't even close to full health when I killed the last healer, but that may have been due to my deflect curses.
pityme
Would the faster prayer drain be too much for me to handle at once?
Viv
outhiting the healers isnt possible with ur stats only if you melee and u dont have 90+ attack/str so cant really outhit them ... but id say focus on your prayers i died 7 times with range then tried with melee and could outhit em no prob on slayer w/ melee but never figured out ranging lol
