Free Movie Editor

Featured Replies

My brother wants a program to edit videos with his friend for Youtube, and I'm fairly convinced he can find something better than Windows Movie Maker for free.

Know any programs he can use? Also consider that my computer has abysmally low video memory (16mb integrated) - but also that these videos will be low quality.

Thanks!

I do know Avid Pinnacle was free the last time I tried to use it. It didn't support the file type I wanted, so I decided to just use FCP for all my movie needs.

Virtual Dub.

I haven't used it so I can't tell you if it's any good, just remembered seeing it in this topic.

Why can't the Big Bang be done by the hand of God?

It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities.

1) What's FCP?

2) VirtualDub looks good (it at least is big enough to have its own Wiki page!), so I'll be sure to check it out.

Thanks!

FCP = Final Cut Pro, a great movie editor but is not free.

FCP is near industry standard from what I hear, probably overkill. I also highly doubt it will run on 16mb of vRAM.
