range range range, the wonderful range

i want to level up my range, 2 reasons it sucks, and it use the d hides and what not, anyways i hear about camping at aviansies, but i think that it wouldnt probably be for me, so wheres a good place to range and make profit, im not gunna use a xbow becuase i dont feel like it, i am using the dark bow right now and sooner or later i am getting one of the 3 gods bows, but for now its the d bow. wich monster is good to train on that has a lvl 3 scroll and crimson charms?

I don't know why you hate efficiency so much, but seriously use an Accumulator instead of the Legend's Cape.

 

Also an Rune Crossbow would speed up training a lot, use it with broad bolts. If you sell the Dark Bow you can probably buy an Archer's Ring.

Necklace should be glory or fury if you have it. The hat could be an Archer Helm or a Neitiznot helm.

This all together should speed up training a whole lot.

 

If you really don't want to use crossbow at least use a Magic Shortbow.

 

You can also use knives or darts to kill Yaks for speed but that won't make you money.

Honestly change your gear up for training.

Glory or fury

Any range headpeice would be an improvement.

As for normal range training bronze-steel darts/knives will be your best choice.

Throw in a zammy book for some extra attack bonus.

 

I realize you probably will just shoot that down but if you want to be more efficient that is a great way to do it.

 

As for what to range you could probably start ranging blue dragons if you want profit, might be a little slow though. You'd probably want a higher range for aviansies

completly forgot about avas accumalator #-o , and maybe i will go back to the rune crossbow but for the ava acc i still have to do the quest for it ill use the glory cuase i dont have enough to get fury, ill take the knive into account

Get a rune cbow with broad bolts, or bronze/iron/steel knives.

 

Train on any variant of giant or yaks on neitznot till 70, then head on over to avainsies, they are perfect for you.

Do the quest for ava's. It was one of my first quests, its easy, and its well worth the little bit of effort required

77 defence 52 prayer, there not the best

You want a mix of range attack and range defence, so maybe switch out the red dhide chaps for barrows legs (torags etc)/dragon legs/rune legs. Also take a granite sheild instead of a zammy book, they give a large range defence boost. Also take the best rfd gloves you have instead of vambs, and swap out the archer helm for a barrows helm or neitiznot etc. You also be thinking of taking a sara item (zammy doesnt matter so much), so if you have it a sara god cape is a good choice. Your only other problem is an armadyl item, armadyl pendant is what most people use, or you could go for something arma from the new TT rewards if you havn't done the quest.

 

Edit: To heal you should be either taking bunyips, or a combo of monkfish and bones to peaches tabs, or just the runes if you have the spell unlocked.

Ha ha, my bad (face-palm). Any way, at your level, unless you can afford the best tanking gear, i would advise praying aviansies. You could even do this just to get the hang of it. For praying, you just want a pretty good prayer bonus, with some added range bonus, and an almost full inv of ppots. There are a ton of guides in the AoW that go into greater detail, but once you got it down, its pretty dang easy

Pick one of the books and one Dragonhide piece for the other god either Coif or Vambraces

 

And then a load Bones 2 Peaches tabs to heal you.

A teleport out and a few pieces of food just in case.

I did them from 70-74 ranged. id also suggest bringing 5ish ranged pots

 

Edit: i find the best place to kill them is the s.w corner just north of the grapple place

When training range, it's usually like this in terms of exp:

 

Knifes > Rune C'Bow > MSB

 

Of course it depends on what you train on but this is from my own preferences, knifing yaks is the best exp without chinning while using Rune C'Bow at a bit tougher monsters is good exp and can sometimes yield some profit. MSB is cheap and a good all around weapon when it comes to damage, speed and exp.

 

Always wear Full Void with a Ranged helmet, it's worth the time it takes to obtain. Broad Bolts and Void hits insanely high at low levels which gives better exp.
