RuneScape - Black / Weird screen :(

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise on the below? I have the latest version of Java as well.

Randomly my RS screen goes really black, or totally messes up.

Thanks in advance!

The only thing that has gone weird is the actual bit with the character in it. The menus seem fine. Does it do that when you are not in the cave thing you are in. It may help to send a ticket in to jagex.

If you click on them they hatch or grow up faster and look awesomer!!!

87.5% of all statistics are made up on the spot. If you're one of the 42% of statistics that doesn't, copy and paste this into your sig. In addition, 126.324% of the previous statement does not make sense.

Have you tried any of the following via the RuneScape Options screen in HD modes?

  • turning off Shadows
  • turning off Fog
  • turning off Flickering Effects
  • turning the brightness up
  • switching to low lighting detail

I'll look forward to hearing back on these... I know of one computer where all I had to do was kill shadows because of some kind of pulsing effect I was seeing, and things started behaving nicely. So, I'm at hope that one of these five will work for you.

(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)

Have you tried changing the brightness?

I will try each of these when I get home.

The screen is fine, its just randomly it will flicker (just the RuneScape screen) and then go black or something wack.
