Fight Caves setup help

Recently I got a TzHaar task and I decided I wanted a fire cape so I changed it to that. I've already done fight caves several times, but I've never succeeded. I wanna know if I can make my setup better or anything.

 

My setup:

 

I am on curses. The highest level curse I can use is deflect melee.

 

Stats:

 

73 Prayer

87 Range

85 Attack, Str, and Def

88 HP

96 Mage, if that's relevant

 

I have a budget of approximately 9M.

Ditch guthans and the mace, bring EE. Diamonds for the whole thing are serious overkill but not forbidden (just costly). Use Verac's skirt (you can bring chaps in inventory) and maybe bring some prayer potions instead of restores (to save on costs).

ditch the guthans, if you want to spend a ton, use kxbow, its faster then diamonds.

Hmm you sure about ditching the guthans and EE? I suck at managing hp XD

 

And if taking both verac skirt and chaps when should I use chaps?

The guthan method is really outdated, you would be better of ranging the whole way. Personally, I brought my ee, and i dont think you need to bring both verac skirt and chaps, just the skirt will be fine.

Just skirt is fine. With Slayer helm/focus sight, you will be killing stuff pretty fast too, even with a not-so-great ranged level.

 

EE is AWESOME for it. If you are getting low hp, you can always trap stuff, find a spot you can't be attacked, rest and wait for special bar to recover. This gives you a break, recovers 200hp per spec, and saves you praying while using guthans. Obviously adds a bit of time to the trip if you over-use it though.

 

Definately keep on curses, they are AMAZING in caves. When you are on the later 360 waves, the 360's will be half dead by the time you even get around to hitting them, just through deflect magic! And obviously its going to deflect alot back on jad too, speeding it up and thus reducing the chance of you messing up.

The reason I suggested bringing chaps is that Verac's skirt is really only for tanking the 90's and a little prayer bonus. It's not like you need the inventory space.

If he plans to tank the healers, veracs would be better, and i cant see any instance where bringing both would be beneficial. I would prefer to have another brew or something...

You don't actually need brews for the caves.. they are for safety alone. EE will be quite enough with ~2 brews or so. Then 2 super restores, 10 pray pots and the rest gear switches, spec restores (if you bring claws), stuff like that.

Should I take rune cbow with diamonds or karil xbow? and if I take karil xbow should I replace ava's accumulator with SW cape for def and prayer?

 

And I should fill the extra spaces from not using guthans with prayer pots/super restores, right?

I'm definitely not a fire cape expert (took me 6 tries) but yeah, replace your super restores with prayer pots and only bring like 5? super restores. Not sure about the xbow thing, I'd just be cheap and go for rune xbow. Getting through the waves shouldn't be a problem, just a bit time consuming. Just remember not to panic at Jad and you should be fine.

SW cape with kxbow, sure. You should still bring rcbow for Jad with about 100-200 diamonds. I think you'll need some 3.5k bolt racks. Fill up your inventory with bss (to tank healers) + rcbow + diamonds + EE + 3 range pots + 12 pray pots + rest rocktails. Use EE as much as you can. As it provides a defence boost, it'll replace brews entirely. Rocktails are much easier, cheaper and better with range potions.
