obfuscator
Well, I've had problems with my wireless for a while, and I'm pretty sure my router is to blame. I want to replace it. I need up to 7 computers to be able to connect to it at once, and it needs to be good. Like really good. The ones I've had so far were supposed to be good, but they sucked. So far, I've had a DLINK DIR-615 and a LINKSYS WRT54GL. Budget is whatever necessary, thanks in advance for the help :) "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
stevepole
We use a Belkin Wireless-N Router and it's been working great for about a year now. Not sure on the number of computers you can connect to it though.
Sbrideau
Weird, I have a Dir-615 and have up to that number of machines (computers and Xbox's), and it has no problems. Maybe yours is set up wrong?

Maybe yours is set up wrong?I think there's some sort of interference tbh, not sure what it is though. The DIR-615 I had worked pretty well for a while. In terms of setup, I rather doubt there's a mistake with it, because I spent 5+ hours on the phone with their tech support reconfiguring it to no avail. Jernlov
I go through a router every 2 years or so. Cheap parts and such. 7 computers on wireless is probably going to cause some congestion. I have 5 on my network and it suffers quite a few lockups - maybe that's my router's problem though. Steam | Soup | Last.fm
obfuscator
Well my thought is if I get something higher quality that won't happen...7 isn't a huge number. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
Surprise
Well my thought is if I get something higher quality that won't happen...7 isn't a huge number. It isn't the number of people it is what they are doing on the connection.

It isn't the number of people it is what they are doing on the connection.Even that, it isn't a huge amount. In terms of amount of transmission, it's not over 25gb a month.
