Skully
Why be so fussy about a TV? Just pick a TV with a size that suits where you're putting it, then look at different prices on TV's of that size, make sure it's 1080p and you're fine. das1330
From a technical standpoint, practically all LCD panels are made in one of three or so factories out in Asia. As a result, regardless of which model (or price) you pick your picture will be very similar, unless you go with more exotic technologies (which are quite expensive) like RGBLED and OLED. As a result, if I were you I would pick the least expensive TV that fits your chosen size, resolution, and other specifications. Most of the marketing hype is just that - hype. 120 or 240 Hertz refresh rates are useless for regular people as they can't actually perceive the difference - it's just too fast for the eye to pick up. AndyPandy
For that price you could get a 3DTV. I'd only really recommend it for PC or PS3 though, as they're the only platforms where I've seen them playing in 3D properly. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN50C490-50-Inch-720p-Plasma/dp/B003XDU6EQ?tag=gmgamzn-20 And with the extra $500 you could buy some glasses to go with it. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. Samsung panels are quite nice so maybe check them out. Look for one that doesn't bleed, and tear too much when fast images are being shown. Sy_Accursed
Theres hardly much to picking a tv theses days. 1) Pick a Tv brand you trust.2) Pick LCD or Plasma, Plasma is epically costly but gives better picture quality etc.3) Check that it's full HD and has all the inputs you need (hdmi, scart etc)4) Check out the other features and pick the tv with the ones u like best.
