August 21, 201015 yr Like the title says, my kitten has trouble cathing hellcats (quest: RFD freeing evil dave). It takes me around 10 minutes to catch just 1 rat, wich is way too long. I've tried to let my kitten grow into a cat with milk, fish and a ball of wool but this seems to take ages. Also, how many spicy do I need for each stew? 4 from each colour, for every stew?
August 21, 201015 yr Chance of a kitten catching a rat is like 10%, chance of a cat catching a rat is 70% I believe. There are no ways to speed up the process of aging the cat (afaik) you will just have to wait 3-4 hours? or suck it up and catch with your kitten. Help drive change Canada
August 21, 201015 yr This was the worst part of the quest for me. Took me about 5 hours to actually complete the stew. The number (dose) of each spice is different for each colour, you can check on the questhelp guide on the RS website to tell you the exact dose. BTW, you can use dosages on each other, similar to how you can with potions, which can help to get your required dose. I seriously suggest getting your kitten to grow into a cat (mine just randomly grew, I have no idea how I caused it) as the catch rats so much quicker after.

August 21, 201015 yr overfeeding it and letting it play with balls of wool does not speed it up, nothing can speed it up or slow it down (except death). Best thing to do is do other subquests with ur cat out and let it grow. bring fish with u to feed it and give it attention when it says. thats what i did.
August 22, 201015 yr Cats have a percentage in the familiar menu that indicates how far your cat has grown, I think. And what previous posters have said: kittens have less chance of cathing anything. They're barely the size of the rats as it is! But if you continue trying with a kitten you'll get an adorable hell-kitten. Those are so fun :D.
