All of you soccer fans, MLB fans, NBS fans, and NFL fans go home. Its time for some NCAA football action! Season starts in 6 days!! Who is your team? Whats your pre-season top 10? I'm a huge Clemson fan, and despite the loss of the best RB in the nation last year (who didn't get nearly enough credit), we have a very promising year ahead. I am PUMPED. I missed all of last season because I was in Iraq, I can't wait to get there on gameday of opening day.

 

My top 10 is looking like this:

1 Alabama

2 Boise State

3 Florida

4 Texas

5 Virginia Tech

6 TCU

7 Oklahoma

8 Nebraska

9 Miami

10 Ohio State

 

Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma all lost the star QB last season so we'll see who steps up. Florida has the best chance with Brantley. I think USC and Ohio State are overrated EVERY year, thats why you see Ohio State at #10 and USC not on the list. VaTech is going to turn heads this year, so is Miami. Being a fan of an ACC team, i'm in turn an ACC fan. I think a lot of people will be surprised with the ACC this year. Up until yesterday UNC was looking like a national powerhouse preseason, but more NCAA violations are coming and its not good in Chapel Hill right now. This is how I think the ACC and SEC will turn out this year:

Florida and Alabama could EASILY be topped this year. Florida will get beaten by either South Carolina or Georgia, Alabama can get beaten by either Auburn or Arkansas. So these could always change. South Carolina, they have something brewing. Steve Spurrier is way to optimistic this year, kind of scary. Auburn is my dark horse for the SEC.

Of course I put Clemson up top. They are the defending Atlantic champions and my favorite. In all reality though, FSU could easily be up top, we will see. I don't see Miami beating VaTech, could happen but I doubt it. UNC would be higher without their off the field issues.

 

What to watch for during the season and my BOLD predictions:

-Miami will beat Ohio State on Sept 11.

-South Carolina will either beat Florida OR Alabama this year.

-UNC will give LSU a run for their money on Sept 4, possibly beat them.

-Florida State will beat Florida this year, and Oklahoma too.

-Va Tech will lose to Boise St on Sept 6.

-Nebraska will beat Texas for the last time in the Big 12.

-Lane Kiffin will continue to be the biggest Dbag in all of America, and prove to still be a terrible coach.

-Brian Kelly will fail at Notre Dame and the Irish will go on to another disappointing season.

-Rich Rodriquez could very well end up unemployed by the end of this year.

-Mark Ingram is once again the favorite to win the Heisman.

-Jimbo Fisher will be the savior of FSU football and a good replacement for Bobby Bowden.

-The Pac10 will be [garden tool] hum this year, whoopie Pac10 football.....

-Joe Paterno very well could retire.

 

 

You won't find the passion or rivalries any place else. NFL has nothing on this, its easy to lose when you still get paid millions....here its all about pride. ITS TIME FOR SOME COLLEGE FOOTBALL. ARE YOU READY?! LETS GO!!!

I really want to see Boise State get a shot at the BCS game this year, just so I can see whether or not they can actually compete with the big conferences.

I'm a super huge college football fan. My team is West Virginia University. Highly doubt they will do anything major this year. Teams I'm looking at this year is Nebraska, Boise State, and Miami. Be interesting what Nebraska could do this year.

Devine should be in the Heisman talks though. Good back. I think the only fault is since his team won't be as good as say Alabama then he won't make the final cut for the Heisman...just like CJ Spiller last year.

Boise St and TCU are my underdog favorites even though, statistically, they're on the same level as most top 20 teams. they both have monster offenses which is all you really need in college football

So Virgina Tech losing to Boise State is one thing, but losing to a Div. 1-AA school???? Go James Madison University!!!!! :thumbup:

Man the ACC just threw my predictions and hopes out the window this past weekend. TERRIBLE. VT losing to James Madison??? Sucks for VT.

 

My Clemson boys have a tough one AT Auburn this week. Hope we can save some face for the ACC, if we win we will be a favorite for the ACC race and have big momentum going into our 4th game against Miami.

God, we almost had Wisconsin today. If we (ASU) didn't have some many small mistakes we could of had it, and that catch interference that wasn't called cost us a touchdown, literally. At least I learned today we may actually have a team, one that actually do decent this year.

What a week. Almost some awesome upsets. Was really pulling for Clemson to win, but Auburn was just to much for them in the end.

I honestly think we were to much for ourselves in that game. Auburn did not impress me at all, neither did their hyped up QB. Shot ourselves in the foot with some blown coverages which gave them some big plays. We controlled 3 quarters of that game, they got us in the 3rd. Still proud of this Clemson team, one of the toughest i've seen in a long time. We still got the ACC to play for, i'm not worried. We looked good.

 

Other then that, all of my predictions in the first post now look crazy. The ACC has really let me down.

I felt for sure Miami was going to lose to OSU, and the Virginia tech Boise state game was a coin flip. But when ACC power house schools like VT lose to James Madision, you really need to re-conisder the strength of the conference. Im really impressed with Nebraska to be honest. And the Arkansas, Alabama game should be one to watch for a upset. It will be close, but I think Arkansas will win. The game I shall be watching is West Virginia at LSU. If we can get our defence in order, we could have a good team this year.

Yeah they hit them in the mouth and didn't let up. SC looks for real this year. Clemson choked again, we need a new coaching staff.

 

Nebraska looked nasty too. I'd like to see a bowl game between South Carolina and Nebraska.

Auburn vs Arkansas. This has to be the worst officiated game I've ever seen. Twice now, the refs blew calls even when they had the chance to correct it on a replay. Both times it ended up being TDs for Auburn. This is ridiculous. It reminds me of Arkansas vs Florida last year. SEC refs hate Arkansas.

Auburn just gets lucky. You should see ACC refs, the absolute worst I guarantee it. I can't believe Nebraska lost today to Texas. Stunner.

 

Go Kentucky! Beat South Carolina!
