Best addy mining?

Featured Replies

What's the best way to mine addy? I honestly have no idea.

Runescape is a game, if you aren't having fun then don't play, if you can't stop playing then quit.

Add this to your sig if you've seen every "new" skill released.

If I were you, train mining on something else. If you're a member, kill Avianses for addy bars.

not sure why you would mine addy, but there are 4 in the new resource dungeon in the mining guild (45 dung req.) as well at the 3 just outside the guild. not a bad place to superheat either.

if you are really just looking for mining xp dragon pickaxing gold at liveing rock caverens is the best i think.

If you have a superior locator, that could potentially be a really good way of mining addy. However like people have stated, do it only for fun distraction from serious mining training or money making.

I'm actually the in process of writing a guide about using the SL for interesting training diversions.

I tried the superior locator method and really... it's not that great. It doesn't take you to any of the quest reward mines, so no Haunted Mine, no Forgiveness of a Chaos dwarf and no Mining Camp. Also it has an annoying habit of chucking you out in high level wilderness where it doesn't work to get you out again. Not to mention those times it teleported me 3 spaces from where I already was. However I suppose I did get reliably smooth addy from it once I kitted up to deal with revenants...

Which is what my guide will outline :)

Like I mentioned, it's not meant to be a super great way for making money or gaining xp, but for a small little distraction from regular training activties.

However, some of the other locator spots like clay and secondaries have the potential to be very profitable. I just need to test them out.

Problem is that it's constantly sending you out to the Hobgoblin and Pirate mines out in high-level Wildy where you can't teleport out again, which ruins the potential it would otherwise have for fast banking.

Some alternatives to the Keldagrim North Mines are:

The mines on Jatizso contain 11 Adamant Rocks - and are close-ish to a bank. However you do have to put up with Ice Trolls (though i've never actually been there myself).

The Lleyta Mining site has 7 rocks - which combined with the Crystal teleports also make for fast ores.

Crystal teleport is actually pretty far from the mining site. Think Varrock teleport to get to the Barbarian Village mine.

Wearing an glory ammy solves the hobgoblin problem and using the wildy lever sends you to ardy or you could just go into the mage arena and telly there. You'll just also need a forinthy to take care of revs and a slashing wep/knife.
