Anyone know an effective way to kill them without gaining att or str exp, so a crush wep with defensive mode.

ss can train str, zs trains attack and i dunno about chaotic maul+ torags hammer and verac flail.

chaotic maul, followed by chaotic rapier and chaotic longsowrd.(crush isn't that important when you get to the higher stages of accuracy).

I'm pretty sure that Zammy spear crushes on controlled.

 

You could try the obby mace/maul + zerker necklace. I've used that before and I must say that it's very impressive. However, good luck buying the necklace. Before they nerfed onyx gems, they were 300k and bought relatively quickly, but now...well, have fun trying to get one, but maybe it's worth a shot.

 

V flail and T hammers can crush defensively. They aren't the best weapons to ask for, but they get the job done. Same goes with DBA and the Anchor.

 

And of course, as mentioned above, Chaotic weapons work as well, but since your dungeoneering is ranked that's not an option.

 

Other than that, I'm not sure what your options are. I was able to achieve some degree of success whipping them before, but that's at 99 attack.

You shouldn't at all kill them with stats like that because you will be highly ineffective against them, i'm fairly sure even range would be better with your stats. If you want charms, go bursting/barraging, if it's for slayer, cancel the tasks.

I think at stats like those you're going to need to either suck it up and use a zammy spear or pick a different monster to train on. They're already low stats for waterfiends, and using a weapon as bad as Torag's hammers or the anchor only compounds the problem. At that point I'm pretty sure you'd be better off with, say, a whip at dust devils.
