Need some help planing on how to raise Smithing.

Hey tip.it,

 

Im just fooling around on RuneScape now, visiting the game i loved :)

 

And i want to get my smithing up..

 

Now i plugged in the data into the smithing calculator..

 

If i want to get to lv 65 from lv 58, i need to make 8000 pairs of cannonballs!!!!!

 

8000 steel bars!!!!!!

 

Thats insane! i could never have that much patience..

 

If i wanted to gain just 2 levels, to lv 60, it would take over 1000.

 

Please help, i just cant grind for that many hours..

 

Any other ways to train smithing?

 

I have 2m to start, but i need to make profit.

Smelt gold bars with goldsmithing gaunts, it should take less than 4 hours to get 65 and only costs 600k. You should be able to do 3 herb runs and recoup your losses in that time.

hmm.. that will involve completing the quest.. but it may be worth it..

Profit doesn't go well with smithing xp. Earn mney, then superheat gold.

Problem is i only have 2m, but im planning on starting to skill (now that im older i have the patience for it.. so if i blow the 2m, i wont be able to do anything else..)

hey now, smithing cannonballs is ftw, thats how i got 60-72 smithing and i got like 10mil from it, but i suggest doing some quest that gives you smtihng xp and then smithing iron knives or blast furnace or smelting gold

Anyways, do you remember how many bars you needed?

I'd highly suggest against going down the cannonball route, considering you could make more money at green drags in the time you saved than you would be losing by goldsmithing.

 

I guess I can't talk about goldsmithing though, I went the stupidly expensive route to 99 which cost me 85m :P

It cost me 105M when Ibought it, ores were 315 at that time. ow they're 250 or so...

psh idk, i was playing my 360 and browsing tip it to pass time so it didnt have the boring effect on me
