Trio Dungeoneering Training

Ok, so I kinda need some advice on trio dungeoneering training. We're going trio because its easy to co-ordinate three people and it also doesnt get too difficult to finish most dungeons.

I know some of you'll suggest 5man larges/etc, but we're really focused on just keeping it fun and not stressful, which I can imagine the case would be for me in a larger team.

 

So, our relevant stats:

 

Combat 133/75 Dungeoneering

Combat 125/42 Dungeoneering

Combat 106/63 Dungeoneering

 

I know the dungeoneering levels are kinda spread out, but it shouldnt be long and that'l sort itself anyway.

 

Sofar our tactic has been:

 

C1 rushing approx 50%-75% of the dung 42 guys floors.

C6 3-man Med/Large floors on the rest. I'd say doing medium floors is probably more efficient for us, due to time constraints.

As a team we can make all our best bows and upto full Gorg armour, and lots of the ranging armour, but 3-man melee seems to do fine against all bosses sofar, even if it isnt recommended. (I'm aware a few bosses might hinder this - havent had a chance to meet them yet due to the 42DG)

 

Bound items are best 2H, and platebodies where possible. Also best arrows possible (p+)

 

I wasnt 100% on whether I can mention actual names here, if I can and that helps for stat checks, please tell me! :)

don't forget resource dungeons if he hasn't already, they carry alot of xp.

Anyways, miracleman58 - I don't currently use pengs on dung because I feel it could be used else where :P Especially smithing where it'll save me ~40 or so platebodies worth of smithing as I'm now 287K from 96 thanks for effigys and getting 38,000exp a week from pengs. So unless you wish to donate money to my cause (even though i get a nice MTK pay out each week) then I'll probably keep them on Smithing and Slayer :3 Oooooor, unless you show me the benefits of (what is my eyes) wasting my points on a glorified minigame that truly has no place in Runescape.

 

Slayer_Jesse - Yeah already do them. Got me up to 42 quickly :) 231exp from next level, which should be easy tonight. And I'll grab the 45 resource dungeon when I can.

yeah, using pengs on dung is a waste as you get no tokens. id reccomend doing a few solo dungeons to atleast 50, then you can bind 2 items.

It used to be a waste because the floors only went up to 69 dungeoneering. You'll actually get tokens faster if you can do more floors, so spending penguin points and lamps on dungeoneering isn't a bad idea anymore.

I have 3 and a half million exp till I get one of the 99's I've wanted since I started playing RS about 2/3 years ago. So would it really be worth it to stop my 38,000 exp a week from pengs and put it on dung? If so, till I hit what level?

I suggest just play it as you enjoy it. I got 72 Dung without even thinking about it, just getting the levels as I played with friends, or soloed, or found groups on 117. I've never found a dung level to matter too much, but then again I've never played with one of these level 138 super skilled teams. I've always played with, and am myself, fairly normal players with spread out levels.

 

Don't waste pengs on Dungeoneering - just enjoy the skill.

:P haha that's what we've been doing.... but I guess it would be better if we did tighten up a few nuts and bolts to this already quite well oiled machine. In the end Octarine and I would like Chaotic Rapiers (me especially for my slayer) which is why we're asking questions :) We do do the dung's for fun though, makes a nice break from RS.
