Okies, so Ima be doing this quest tomorrow once I pump 3.5M into herby, do 30 mins of alching and do 5 mins of thieving..... What hints and tips are there for doing this quest? Obviously I will be spending day(s) doing it as I want to take it all in. But anything in particular?

 

Also..... afterwards, I'd like to do duo (eventually solo) TD's. I'm just wondering, with my stats, what equipment I should use for them? Kinda been thinking that I've seen people using ponys but the main tip.it site doesn't have a set up for them. Any and all hints, tips, tricks, set ups (with good armour and welfare) etc are needed and appreciated.

 

As for info - levels are in the siggy, I have ~20M cash pile once I sell slayer tab, but would love to try and keep it that way as it funds cannoning.

Not really any tips for the quest. Black salamander is ownage in the final fight. Don't get carried away and try to use a godsword for the first time.

Check out any YouTube video and copy a set up or go to the aow guides. Use a godsword, chaotic wep, or whip

For tds I bring: black hide, sw cape, snake boots, fury, neit, barrows gloves, defender, rcbow, broad bolts, explorer's 4 (yeah...). Darklight, whip, dds in inv (not sure if the dds is worth it though, seems to work for me, but EE might be nicer). Then bring a bunch of brews/restores, a home tab, a lantern (have a backup ready). Your brew/restore ratio goes down as you get more experienced. Adding a unicorn to this you should probably bring more restores than brews, some people take only 1.

 

Tips & tricks: have someone show you the lures.

Are you asking for quest help or TD help? If you are wondering about the quest, the fights should be really easy at your level. The boss fights are not challenging, you won't even need your best gear. And I'd say if you set aside 3-4 hours you can do the whole quest in the time.

Well both really. Straight after the quest I was gona quickly spend a day getting the last 100K to 89 slayer, then camp TD's for a while until I go back to uni.

 

Awesome, so that sounds good for me then! :P Can't wait! Guess the balance ele is the tricky part?

Well unless you think fighting with 255 stats is hard... (it really is awesome).

You don't fight the elemental with boosted stats, but it's still not hard. It's really easy to note which attack style it used and change prayer. I took a super set and whip and about 10 sharks, only used 5 or 6 when I was lazy and didn't change prayers fast enough.

Isn't that the 2 TD's at the end? ;) The balance ele is the one I need to prayer switch etc and can hit very hard etc just before I enter the guthixian temple to find lucian?
