Wiping all traces of a website off a computer?

I am not going to say why I need this information. I just need to purge ALL traces of a website off my computer ASAP.

Anyone know what works other than DBAN for wiping the drive completely?

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

I believe you're looking for this. You can never be safe in the knowledge that your data has been erased until the hard drive itself has been erased.

edit: On a rather more serious note, if you really want to DBAN your hard drive, wiping all of your data in the process, you could boot from an Ubuntu Live CD and enter the command 'dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda1 bs=1048576' at a terminal instead. Though DBAN is going to be easier.

Otherwise, you could use the Clear Private Data option in Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer and most other major browsers...

CCleaner can remove the history and any cookies set by the site.

Windows can format a drive, it all depends who you are hiding the information from; that will determine the extent you need to go to destroy the data.

Har, har. And no, this is not a family computer I'm watching porn on. And before any of you decide to quote me off, no I'm not watching porn at the moment either.

Just lock this, this can't end well.
