A Void Stare Back

Hello! So I've watched 2 seperate guides on youtube about this boss fight and 2 of them show 2 diffrent setups. Wyodaniel used a Melee+Mage defence setup in bandos tassets and karil top while mpe1030 used a all mage defence based setup in Black d'hide/void. I was wondering what would be best to use?

 

 

Current idea:

Helm of Neitiznot

Glory

Karil top

Verac Skirt

Dragon boots

Barrows Gloves

Defence Cape(t) / Ard Cloak 3

Warrior Ring

Whip

Rune Defender / Toktz-Ket-Xil

 

I'll be using a uni to heal as well as using p pots and rocktails when i need some serious healing

 

Also please don't tell me to use sara brews + restore as im not good with the brew+restore method (hince the reason i STILL havent beaten nomad)

 

I don't have dragon claws or C weapons (as u can see im only 54 dung) but would a bgs be good for the def lowering spec?

I've heard that a good method is melee defence armor, and use mage pray (bring some pray pots and spec restores). Again, that's what I've heard, just another option.

Well as im only 70 pray i cant make spec rests yet so i dont be able to bring them but i'll definantly look into it.

What I used:

Void deflector + Korasi's sword, fury, sw cape, barrows gloves etc.

7 sup restores, 2 restores, rest brews, bird full of brews.

Soul split + turmoil all the time.

 

I can tell you, this setup sucks.

 

What I recommend (but sadly, cannot test) is:

Bandos, neit, whip + defender (Korasi's for spec of course), otherwise melee gear, praying mage (and piety). Uni + rocktails, extremes and go.

[hide]What you want to do, is keeping the archers alive. This requires you to do two things. Firstly, you need to prevent the queen from speccing; this is also in your own interest as the spec hits 500ish. I'm not sure if you can dodge it, but you can use Korasi's sword's special attack to stop the queen when she's charging her attack. This attack looks like steam coming from her sides.

Secondly, you want to kill the elite defilers she summons, as they attack the archers.

At the peak, you should have 8 archers firing at the queen, and they kill the healers should they appear.

I used full bandos, ext sets, korasai's sword (for entire fight) uni and rocktails, with 2 p pots (shoulda brought more) i used protect from magic for entire fight, and she didnt hit me that much. you MUST use korasia's spec to cancel out her 500 lp attack, so dont bring a spec wep. i found this fight was more about endurance than raw fighting power. just keep whacking at her and the void rangers and she'll go down eventually.

Unfortunantly i dont have Bandos or extremes so barrows armor will have to suffice. I guess ill be using Korasis sword whole fight and rocktails + p pots probably bring about 4 p pots super set uni scrolls and rest rocktails hopefully ill make it through the fight

Finished the quest. It took me 3 tries but ill did it ill update my setup+invo tommorrow for now im going go head off to bed :)

lmao i did it without spirit kyatt easily...the fight is more about endurance than pure power anyways tbh

Basically my strategy was:

 

Attack queen until elite ravagers come out

Att ravager then back to queen (DO NOT KILL RAVAGER!!!)

keep attacking queen and when she charges her 500 hit attack use ks spec on her to stop it (this is very important and make sure to time your specials right otherwise you WILL run out of special att energy)

 

this fight seemed to be more endurance than pure power so you have to be patient with it =]
