Found this thread on RSOF while I was browsing, and it sounds like an absolutely great idea! Thing is, is it won't work until the word gets out about it! So spread the word I say!

If this ever got big, it'd be really good for the Average Joe. It'd be like being able to access world 117 Daemonheim from anywhere in Runescape.

To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

Bad idea. You don't need 1 floor at a time. Most teams will stay together for 3 to 4 floors. And if you have floors 40 to 47 open, which chat do you go to? By only being in one chat you are severly hurting your chances to get into a team.

I don't think so.. if you want to do floors 33-38 say, go to f33dung, and find a team willing to go past 33? Using these cc's is still MUCH easier than using any of the laggy dung worlds. I think that for the casual dungeoneer, these are a great solution to a lot of problems! I'd much rather use these any day. :D Advertise! Advertise!

If you need floor 33-38 and go to floor 33, what if someone that needs 34-38 goes to floor 34? You can't find each other even though tons of floors match.

Well I still think many people will find this to be a great idea! If you don't like it, you don't have to use it. I just want to get the word out!

Blakdragon39.png

well you can only log into one cc at a time, which might be a problem.

would it be so hard to code and host an online program for such a purpose?

It would definitely be more versatile than some cc's

A good idea, but even with a decent ammount of support the sheer number of floors and clans avaliable will really make getting it up and running very difficult, although I hope it goes well I want a chaotic rapier.

Anybody ever thought of creating an irc channel or whatever, with seperate chat rooms for each floor?

That'll be a lot easier to work with than through the clan chat system, but of course it is out-of-game so not as many might be able to access it.

Edit: Similar to what Grimy mentioned.

I imagine that creating an entirely new chat system for such a purpose would be a lot of work.. I don't see Jagex making that effort really. :( Someone could definitely post it on their suggestion forums somewhere though?

I like the effort, but it really irks me that people have to come up with such a cludge just to be able to play the game.

I will definitely give it a try the next time I need a team.

Right on man! I've visited f33dung a few times (I need 33 :P) and it's always been empty... but this just needs more advertising is all I think!
