combat leveling question

right now i am combat lvl 69 with all the meelee skills & constitution on equal levels (57), while magic & ranged (41), prayer (33) a bit lower and summoning at lvl 1.

what i want to ask is whether is is wise to continue this leveling scheme (talking about meelee & constitution only), ie. level them equally, or rather focus on one skill (att/str/def) and try to maximize it before leveling up the others.

i definitely want to get att & def lvl 60 for dragon items, but what afterwards?

i dont really do much pvp, but as ive learned for meelee pvp it is best to have one skill maximized while others kept low so one can fake its own combat level and actually be far stronger than the combat level would suggest. would this be a good idea, ie. when att & def become lvl 60 just focus on eg. att and maximize it while keeping def & str at around 60?

i suppose maximizing attack would be best, better than strenghth or defence since attack determines the chance of dealing damage on each hit, which i think is better than being able to deal more maximum/average damage, but also making more hits with 0 damage - is this correct?

or rather stick on the leveling way used till now, ie. level up each combat skill one after another and keep them on equal levels (+/- 1) at all times? i actually would like to keep my combat level low, while still becoming stronger in meelee, not for pvp, but for the wilderness, random events etc. ie. i want to be stronger than my combat level suggests..

i definitely will level on magic, but only when i really decide to dedicate some time to pure leveling, as i am not really using magic often right now.

thanks

Strength is considerably more important than attack. 60 defence is also somewhat of a dead zone for pvp. With your stats the 'best' pvp-levelling-scheme would include maxing everything but attack and strength, ending up as a powerful tank.

At those levels it doesn't matter much, but once you reach round 70 melee stats training with a whip on controlled is the fastest way to train (Outside of chaotic weaponry). You don't really have optimal levels for pures, and they really don't do that well in pvp anymore except against other pures, I'd just focus on getting melees to 70 and working from there.

ok thanks, so best idea is just to keep leveling the meelee skills equally?

i made a 3-yr-break till now in rs, and i remember once having been killed by a player some 25-30 combat levels below mine by meelee, which i considered now and asked about further leveling for this reason. so if the situation with pures isnt the case anymore, i dont have to worry and can just keep leveling as i did now?
