A couple quick questions...

Hi guys, I've got a couple of quick questions for you.

1. I just got my herby up enough to use super antifires, so what weapon should I be using on the various dragon tasks that I get? I do all my iron, steel, mithril, blue and black dragon tasks.

2. Antifire potions don't work on wyverns, correct? So I still need to use a DFS/elemental shield there? (As a side note, what are your wyvern setups? I can usually only kill around 30 per trip, is that a good amount or should I be getting more?)

3. I was considering getting my dungeoneering up to around 50-60 from my current level (30) to pick up a couple of the cheaper rewards. About how long would this take doing solo? I haven't really trained it except from ToG, but I've been hearing the best way is to rush the first floors on C1 and do the last ones C6. Is this correct, and if so, at what point should I switch to C6 floors?

4. What item should I bind? And what should be my second bind at level 50? I've head about the shadow silk hoods, at what floor do those start to become available?

Thanks in advance! :]

dragons = pwned by stab.

So you want zs to make best use of super antis (since you dont have access to CR and CLS)

Zspear or crapier + defender or, if you are cheap, ks + defender.

2. Antifire potions don't work on wyverns, correct? So I still need to use a DFS/elemental shield there? (As a side note, what are your wyvern setups? I can usually only kill around 30 per trip, is that a good amount or should I be getting more?)

Indeed, you still need dfs at your levels. Without soul split, it's going to be very hard to kill a lot per trip, as you can't protect from their breath or ice attacks.

Setup: bandos (v skirt guth plate), dfs (mind shield), neit/fsh, fury, cls (whip), berserker ring, d boots barrows gloves. Essentially heavy melee gear. Use a tort to bank the bones and carry a little food. You can just tank them with this, praying piety. If you had turmoil, that + ss would keep you there for a long time. The very best setup, however, is cmaul + uni + ssplit (without dfs but with a ton of healing).

3. I was considering getting my dungeoneering up to around 50-60 from my current level (30) to pick up a couple of the cheaper rewards. About how long would this take doing solo? c6 solo/duo with friends everything until you get to higher floors. At level 50, start doing f20+ meds or larges, whatever you can find, in teams. Floors over 29 should be done 5:5 large, and once you get to those, you can start doing c1s for the lowest floors.

4. What item should I bind? And what should be my second bind at level 50? I've head about the shadow silk hoods, at what floor do those start to become available?

Bind one: the best 2h you can use.

Bind two: the best platebody you can use OR a shadow silk hood OR a blood necklace OR a hexhunter bow. The hood is fairly commonly found, the bow very rarely (and requires 98 range).

Bind three: whatever you didn't get at bind two, usually hood + plate.

Bind four: same as three.

No. Only tasks worth using a zspear on are mithrils and steels. Everything else you use a whip and defender.

Even without extremes and turmoil?

Also I'd just block wyverns, they are a very slow task no matter how you look at it and they are weak to crush (The best way to kill them is with a cmaul, ss, and uni).

Thanks for all the responses, everyone.

I'm currently trying out both Z spear and whip+defender setups on iron drags (I do have extreme pots, by the way), and so far whip seems better. I also tried the same thing on black drags, and Z spear seemed a little better. So I guess I'll just use the spear for the higher level dragons.

I actually enjoy wyvern tasks so I'll probably continue to do them anyway, but hopefully I can afford to get soul split/turmoil soon.

Thanks for the dungeoneering tips.

I really don't ever intend to team on it though. I understand I'm not going to get great exp rates but I just dislike teaming, and I'm not going to do it just for the sake of efficiency. I just plain don't like it, so I guess I'll suffer through soloing. I'm just wondering, though- are solo medium dungeons worth it? They seem to take forever, and I'm not sure if the small exp boost is really makes up for lost time.
